Great video! I’ve been running into a lot of the same issues you described here. Heavy regulations in areas like the pokanos, Hawaii, Lake tahoe and Palm Springs.
@@AaronPetersononInvesting-hw5li I’m told certain areas such as Lake Harmony are fine. But in Tobyhanna township, you need to go through a waiting list to get an STR license. And if you buy a property with an STR license, you will likely still have to go through the process. Hawaii is cracking down in large parts of the island from being used for Airbnb due to new legislature.
@@bryanfahey3144 Thanks for the insight. I belive I saw a property someone was trying to sell in the Poconos because their license was being revoked. I'd never heard of that before. Crazy!
I’m looking for a market with longstanding pro-STR regulations. I’ve bounced around but I’m open. I’ll have 550 to put down and want to keep my purchase price between 980-1.2M. I’ve delved into most of the markets covered by the short term shop
@@wespos Wes, I'm so sorry for the delay. Are. you still waiting for the right place? I know interest rates have come down and they're projected. toc ome down even more. where are you at in this process?
Eventually all the cities going to be regulated short term rentals, so better dont buy sort term rentals and focus in long term in the market you are living
I believe that in many places the STRs help the economy and bring in tons of revenue by guests visiting. Long term rentals can be a good strategy for sure, but i wouldn't rule out STRs.

I've heard about the challenges in the Poconos. Is it getting worse? I'm actually doing a segment on Hawaii. I'd be interstedin your feedback.

@@JS-my1wb Is that a highly regulated area?
Looking to jump in using a 1031. Do you help people find STRs?
I certainly can. Where are you looking?
