- Grammy-nominated 'The Avett Brothers' ninth studio album, True Sadness has reached #3 on the US Billboard charts and is the band's third album produced by the legendary Rick Rubin. The Avett Brothers' music has roots in traditional folk and bluegrass, but also captures the high spirits and no-boundaries attitude of rock & roll - which is appropriate, since rock is where siblings Scott Avett and Seth Avett first cut their teeth as musicians.
In this video, Scott and Seth, along with band members Bob Crawford and Joe Kwon, discuss their latest album, their current world tour and give us a peak at how they use technology to connect with their loyal fans.
I just lost my husband and had the song " No Hard Feelings"....that song was perfect for him. He was a prankster, sometimes brutally honest but always himself. He had more friends than anyone I know. He was a friend to all. During Covid-19 he would check often with people to see what they needed. And then do it for them, pick up groceries or mow their yard. Then play a joke on them, he loved being useful, his love language. I miss him and this song gives me comfort.
❤ I hope you are still able to find comfort from this song. It makes me think of my late husband as well. He truly had no enemies - only love and kindness for others. Sending you love and hope for you to find peace along your difficult journey. ❤
I love how Scott and Seth are so attuned to each other one can answer a question and then the other expounds on it so smoothly. And you can tell whoever answers first the other is the other is taking it all in, waiting...they both carry each other so well.
Just a great conversation ! Thank you. I know it is dated 2016 but it is refreshing to know great performers have depth. That came through for me in your music before Viewing this interview. One of the best interviews I have ever heard.
One of my favorite Avett interviews - much more in depth than the 5-10 minutes spots most radio stations get with the boys. Long live TAB!
Truly thank you for your alls sacrifice. We feel your lyrics .and hold them to our hearts.
I love this band!

This must've been recorded on Nov 10/11 2016 when they played Detroit.
Maybe Google can put your comment in the description text above.
Why do you think Fathers First Spring was an odd choice? I love that song!
I saw both Detroit shows...they're an amazing band. Go see them if you have the chance.
Quadruple LOVE these guys!!
God bless a kind father. Theses are good folks.
don't want to complain about a great resource but it would be even better if they were all mic'd instead of sharing
that would go to the producer, or stage manager, yes?? I agree with you.
You know, it’s Google, the Benjamin’s are a little tight.............ly gripped by whoever’s producing this.
@@jimwhitney lol

interesting that really only the brothers talk?? Wonder what the other guys think of all of this
they should have said their religious nothing wrong with that I'm not but some of their music is and that's grate won't change my opinion of this grate band.
I think the problem is some of them are and some aren't. Even among the brothers there are doubts..
great not grate
I think they said exactly how they felt
"you guys", how many times was this said?
I feel like Biff had to go out and purchase a plaid shirt for the interview. The schmedium t's didn't muster up.
This video should be called long form interview and then NOT “True Sadness”…
These guys are TRUE SELLOUTS
Yep,they sell out every arena they play
They look super bored with all of this
