This guy is basically the Saul Goodman of Microsoft
Like goodman, he should have called for hoover pro max and vanished for good.
Saul is definitely more charming
Both have legal background.
Yes 🤣🤣
He’s just like Saul Goodman, but without any real charm or personality.
Ballmer should be a wrestling manager. He knew how to cut a promo.
I was just thinking about that. He looks and sounds just like Paul Heyman
He definitely knew how to cut something...
When he was at an Apple event for Microsoft Office, he tried to appear cool, but appeared weird only

Imagine you are some shy computer guy in the 1980s walking down the convention floor meekly looking around, briefly glancing at the "micro-soft" booth before looking away, and this guy comes to you pulling you in.
I bet it was super effective at the time.
Steve Ballmer, the furniture salesman of the software world.
I saw no tigers? Had to be car salesman.
Saul Goodman!
The Nebraska thing refers to an antiquated Bell telephone rule that really existed in the 80s. Many 800 toll-free numbers were based in Nebraska because that area had an excess of available numbers. But according to the Bell rule, 800 numbers could not be used for both in-state calling and out-of-state calling. So companies would advertise an 800 toll-free line for use across the country, except the number really would not function if called from within Nebraska. Nebraska wasn't all that important to them, so that state would call in on a different line, or not at all.
Thanks for explaining!
The Strategic Air Command was the reason why Nebraska had so many telephone circuits. Most would never be used unless there were a nuclear war.
I vaguely remember the Nebraska thing. Jeez, totally slipped my mind.

Sad that Nebraska never got to experience the power of Windows 1.0 though.
Why not Nebraska?
@@TK-mj9rd The easiest way to get a 1 (800) number (a toll-free number) was to do it in Nebraska. However, it couldn't be used in Nebraska, so you had 2 options. 1: Make a number for Nebraska and one for every other state or 2: Make a number for every state EXCEPT Nebraska.
I don't know why people in the comments are surprised on how smooth the video is. Almost all analog cameras that didn't record on film always looked like this. I believe video quality got worse throughout the 00s because of early internet video. Digital video doesn't look that bad on DV/Digital8 tape or DVDs, but the hype didn't last for that long for those formats. Instead of shooting on camcorders, we have been moving on to DSLR/digital cameras, action cameras, and smartphones, which will obviously not look as impressive as analog/early digital camcorders look and usually have a choppy framerate and a shitty digital zoom that just crops the image. I still shoot on camcorders, and many people don't even realize how good it looks if you deinterlace it properly, or watch it on a CRT screen.

@@testaccountyt Oh, thanks for the info, I had the assumption it was after seeing those VHS-like lines. I'm assuming the audio is raw then?
@@TYX8926 The audio was originally uncompressed when digitizing this tape and was later compressed into a large MKV with lossless FLAC audio (I always keep my raw recordings for future purpose). The upload here in particular is upscaled seeing as RUclips won't allow videos below 720p to be in 60FPS. Knowing they like to handle videos under their own encoding methods, it's advised to download my copy from Internet Archive for the best quality.
@@BlueOSMuseum Ok, thanks!
@@BlueOSMuseum Just wondering, how large was the uncompressed recording (not the recompressed MKV)?
VHS tapes had very good audio quality once VHS HiFi became available, very close to CD audio quality and by far the best analog audio tape format in the home market. This tape is from '95, which by then had VHS HiFi be the standard for prerecorded material. A lot of people associate VHS tapes with poor quality audio, which is mostly a misconception or due to experiences with pre-VHS HiFi audio (which was pretty terrible).
