I started training FMA 2 years ago after my mom's passing. 2 things keep me motivated - the growing necessity of self defense (I witnessed an assault in Chicago 2 years ago), and keeping a root in my Filipino heritage since my mom was the main link to all of that.

It can save lives. And it's a great way to stay in shape. Physically - and most of all - mentally. It can save lives, is all I'm saying.

Grandmaster Leo Giron's last name is NOT pronounced with the letter "G". It's spelled that way but not pronounced that way. Can't believe ppls will pronounced his name differently to keep away from all the legalities that are set in place. 🤦‍♂️

Thank you for saying this. It is pronounced 'hee-rohn," not "jai-rahn" I trained in the Giron system for 15 years, and it still forms the basis of my system. I too, can't believe that people can't even pay respects to this great man by simply pronouncing his name correctly.

Lol, I am sure they meant no harm or no offense. Grow up and move on dude/dudette. This feature was awesome, with the exception of your comment

@@patrickrivera7404 You have to understand for those of us who trained in the Giron system (as I did for 15 years), it's not something we want to hear.... It's a matter of putting out information that is accurate. If you're going to do a video like this, AT LEAST pronounce the name right--the reporter got all the great footage and info, now, just say the name correctly, that's all.. That's like doing a video on Jeet Kune Do, and pronouncing Bruce Lee's name as Bruce "LAI"......
