Thanks for the info. I’ve been a nurse for 15 years and I’ve never seen Ogilvie’s syndrome until today. Ya learn something new everyday!

Saw it yesterday as a nurse tech, it was truly an interesting experience. The bowel tones after turning the patient was fascinating - like a sink draining little bits of water at a time.

I'd not run into this condition until last week in the ICU - thank you for sharing some information on it!

My sister-in-law is having ogilvie syndrome and she is down syndrome child, it’s been almost 8 months, still no improvement, any leads or suggestions would be helpful.
    Thanks

I've had overview syndrome since birth when I was diagnosed with ogilvie's syndrome in October of 2021 the doctors said that my colon had been growing with me since I was born PS this is not a joke cuz I know some people I tell it to think it was a joke but it's not a joke at all

I’ve just found out I have a hyper mobile caecum syndrome .. but my pain and symptoms are the same as this , I am in agony twice a year and it just comes on random .. my caecum ends up in different areas of my gut and it twists and kinks .. I was dismissed here in Australia fir my pain and attacks ... because my vitals were always normal ..then 35 years later an mri revealed the anomaly ... I’ve been given no pain management at all just medications for constant bloody potion which is an insult because I eat and exercise well , I’m 53 kilos and don’t drink or smoke .I’m female61 now and it all started happening around 27 but as a kid I was always bloated and in discomfort at times .
