      @@PrestageP You’re confusing reset with rebuild. What he means by reset is if the club get relegated the Glazers (who saddled the club with £half a billion of debt and are milking united of its revenues) will be forced to sell, which could be the best thing for the club.
      The Glazers will only sell up if they no longer have the PL and European gravy train to provide their annual dividends.

Hopefully we will pull through and push on with new owners, but this all looks like when us lot were watching Moushiri rip our club to pieces as we hurtled towards relegation. Millions of pounds down the drain, debt up to our necks, promises of a new stadium (which we actually got), and more managers than matches.

  • @G-fd5ug
    @G-fd5ug 18 дней назад +2

    Relegation isn’t the answer. The club is already struggling financially and making cuts. A lot of ordinary people at the club are losing their jobs. Relegation would mess up a lot of sponsorship deals and other revenue streams. Not to mention you’ll have players on big money whilst the club is struggling to afford it playing in the championship. They just need to survive and then clear out the squad in the summer. It becomes more difficult to do that if you go down

    • @Antidisestablishmentarianism99
      @Antidisestablishmentarianism99 17 дней назад +1

      @G-fd5ug Just playing devil’s advocate here, but relegation could force:
      (A) a much needed clear out of the squad
      (B) the Glazers to finally sell the club. The only potential buyers would be the Qataris and that would mean no more cost-cutting, no more debt and no more dividends and interest payments going out of the club. We’d probably be wealthier than in the PL under the Glazer’s debt-ridden ownership and could finance a brand new young squad to take us up again.

    • @G-fd5ug
      @G-fd5ug 16 дней назад

      @ Clear out the squad ? The players wages won’t decrease going into the championship, already has been reported no such clauses exist, so if no clubs match the wage they are in at United. United would be forced to keep and pay them what they currently get whilst making much much less money. No guarantee the glazers sell now that INEOS have a stake and have made it clear they want to bring the club back to the top. Financial ruin is a more likely scenario. There’s huge debt, the club wants to build a new stadium, they cannot afford to just get relegated

    • @Antidisestablishmentarianism99
      @Antidisestablishmentarianism99 15 дней назад +1

      @G-fd5ug 1. The Glazers will sell the club if we get relegated. Why? Because their revenues and therefore dividends will disappear. Therefore the Qataris (who are still
      Interested) will buy the club and they have already said they’ll wipe out the debt.
      2. Players will move on. Dalot to Real Madrid. Rashford, Eriksen and Casemiro probably to Saudi or the MLS. Enough players will leave for new ones to come in and more cost-effective homegrown academy graduates to get opportunities. You can probably afford a whole team of academy players (Obi-Martin, Gore, Kone, Lacey, Thwaites, Kukonki, Fletcher, Amass etc.) for the same price as a Rashford or Casemiro.

    90% of those players need to leave. Mason Mount. Casemiro. Luke Shaw. Diogo Dalot. Tyrell Malacia. Victor Lindelof. Andre Onana. Christian Eriksen. Antony. Lisandro Martinez. Rasmus Højlund. Joshua Zirkzee. Bruno Fernandes. You can't have even a few of them hanging around next season inflicting their toxicity, narcissism and lack of ability on Amorim's choices. They all need to be out of the door over the next 7.5 months and a complete reset for next season made up of Amorim's signings and youth players. Amorim can then from next season identify a position that needs upgrading in his system and recruit where appropriate.

Just look at Anthony Martial who was on ridiculous wages and sat at the club for the rest of his contract. They will need to take a loss on these players that they want out with high wages. Relegation is never the answer and not the way to reset
    If they go down they will not be able to afford any of the players they have, they won't be able to sell them all, they won't be able to sell them for the money they want
    The Glazer's would only leave if they made money from the deal and they would leave the new owners to clear the debts
    The new players United sign will be Championship level but will expect £100k wages because they are joining United as part of the rebuild or would expect massive pay increases upon promotion, if they manage to get promoted amongst all the chaos, they will then have a very weak side in the Premier League and might never get back to the top again due to PSR
    Yes teams go down, bounce back and rebuild, but nobody with the debts of United, the wages of United, the pressures of United and so many players who won't have any kinds of relegation clauses in their contracts.
    It's not like when they've been relegated historically, the money involved is too much

  • @SonnyK248

    Why would being relegated help get rid of guys like Casimero? Trust me on this, relegation would be a death nail in the club. The players still wouldn't be moved on. They'll stick around. Frankly no one would even buy them for a pound given how bad they are and how much money they'd ask for. So you'd be stuck in the championship with the same team but older. Also you wouldn't be able to buy any new players because that wage bill minus the Premier League TV money would absolutely cripple you financially and with FFP. If Amorim keeps up this stance of "I wont change my system even if we get relegated" then he might have to go.

    • @irieite9666
      @irieite9666 19 дней назад

      @SonnyK248 It wouldn't but the idea would be that as they're bringing players in... let's say for example Kwame Poku then just tell his agent...
      "He can have 5 grand a week playing for Peterborough utd or he can have 5k a week playing for Manchester Utd"
      And just stick with that philosophy all the way back up the levels.
      Get rid of the "Man Utd tax" and spending policies that brought them to their knees
      For the last 12 years they've been circling the drain. Any player they buy will want 25 -50% more wages than necessary to join such a shambles and the cycle will continue.
      Why would a player join Man Utd over Chelsea, Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal etc? Only for extra money.

      @ but they’d be in the championship with the biggest wage bill in the country. Even adding a 5 grand a week player would be too much. They’d have to seriously trim the wage bill before even thinking about buying anyone new. And since they’d have just been relegated and most players aren’t into massive pay deductions I can’t see anyone signing players who’ve just had a terrible season and paying them even 50% of their United salary. Also who’s to say the decline will even stop in the championship? It was there before Ten Hag got there and he almost replaced the whole squad and it’s still there 🤷‍♂️

    Man U are gonna be in a relegation battle this season. Maybe better for them to be relegated amd start afresh. Nottingham Forest should be an example:
    1. Man U are not run in a financially coherent manner, this is now catching up with them. It is not far off to see how they could easily become bankrupt.
    2. Seven or more players earning over 150K per week.
    3. Man U has no appeal to players around the world. Those days have long gone.
    4. They should use several strong academy players.
    5. They've made a financial loss on players, such as: Rashford, Casemiro, Antony, Mount, Shaw, Zirkzee, De Ligt etc.
    6. The above would be good as a B team.
    7. Amorim is too rigid with his formation as he does not have the players, and it doesn't look like Sir Jim Glazer is going to let off any money to buy players.
    8. McTominay, Sancho, Elanga, and other players (even Greenwood) who left are thriving since leaving them.
    9. Spoilt fans living in the 1993-2013 era and an ownership making off of the 1993-2013 era of domination.

    Amorim is a PE teacher who’s good at PR but not managing players or dealing with stars at the club. 3-4-3 is not working the players are not responding so he is forcing the issue and sinking. 39 year old to naive young to manage UTD. Just like Spurs manager no plan B 😂

    ARROGANCE.
    Anyone signing and going to MU is so far up their own backsides and believe in their own hype.
    They need to be more humble and concentrate on playing well instead of posing for cameras..

    They will continue to be mediocre while they have a poor attitude in and around the squad, new players arrive and become infected. It's like gangrene, the longer they leave it, the harder it will be. This has been obvious for at least 5 years. They needed to sell about 15 of their squad then, now it's about 20.
