Yup. And if they think the premier league is tough for playing "small clubs" When Wycombe Wanderers roll up to Old Trafford that's their players Fifa World Cup final and the same goes for 90% of the player in that league
@irieite9666 absolutely. United would have a target on there head for every game they play , I don't see it happening but why they got Amorin in knowing he plays a certain style of football and won't change it , Liverpool looked for a manager who fitted in with the style the players knew , united needed the same , it's unreal what I'm seeing this season , Nottingham forest top 5 would be absolutely amazing tho , feels like the 80s with them being where they are and Liverpool top just missing Everton
United literally already have a target on their back in every regard . I think the “united tax” is one of the main reasons we can’t get any reasonable players in at decent prices
I said it last season when they were struggling. Their finances are bad (and woukd take a furtyer hit) but nowhere near catastrophic like Leeds 2003 where the club would almost fold. The only trouble is they'd be like Bradford in League 2, every single match would be the oppositions world cup final.
I hate man U, but relegation would be a nightmare for them- that can't be the method for reset. It could completely ruin the club long term being relegated
That might be Ineos' goal. They can make billions by selling all the assets and developing Old Trafford into high density housing. Ineos are an equity firm who are in it to make profit.
Relegation is never the answer and not the way to reset If they go down they will not be able to afford any of the players they have, they won't be able to sell them all, they won't be able to sell them for the money they want The Glazer's would only leave if they made money from the deal and they would leave the new owners to clear the debts The new players United sign will be Championship level but will expect £100k wages because they are joining United as part of the rebuild or would expect massive pay increases upon promotion, if they manage to get promoted amongst all the chaos, they will then have a very weak side in the Premier League and might never get back to the top again due to PSR Yes teams go down, bounce back and rebuild, but nobody with the debts of United, the wages of United, the pressures of United and so many players who won't have any kinds of relegation clauses in their contracts. It's not like when they've been relegated historically, the money involved is too much
Why would being relegated help get rid of guys like Casimero? Trust me on this, relegation would be a death nail in the club. The players still wouldn't be moved on. They'll stick around. Frankly no one would even buy them for a pound given how bad they are and how much money they'd ask for. So you'd be stuck in the championship with the same team but older. Also you wouldn't be able to buy any new players because that wage bill minus the Premier League TV money would absolutely cripple you financially and with FFP. If Amorim keeps up this stance of "I wont change my system even if we get relegated" then he might have to go.
@SonnyK248 It wouldn't but the idea would be that as they're bringing players in... let's say for example Kwame Poku then just tell his agent... "He can have 5 grand a week playing for Peterborough utd or he can have 5k a week playing for Manchester Utd" And just stick with that philosophy all the way back up the levels. Get rid of the "Man Utd tax" and spending policies that brought them to their knees For the last 12 years they've been circling the drain. Any player they buy will want 25 -50% more wages than necessary to join such a shambles and the cycle will continue. Why would a player join Man Utd over Chelsea, Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal etc? Only for extra money.
@ but they’d be in the championship with the biggest wage bill in the country. Even adding a 5 grand a week player would be too much. They’d have to seriously trim the wage bill before even thinking about buying anyone new. And since they’d have just been relegated and most players aren’t into massive pay deductions I can’t see anyone signing players who’ve just had a terrible season and paying them even 50% of their United salary. Also who’s to say the decline will even stop in the championship? It was there before Ten Hag got there and he almost replaced the whole squad and it’s still there 🤷♂️
The fans need to boycott the stadium but instead they throw money at the players and then whinge and whine when they can’t be bothered to play for the club 🤣🤣🤣🤣 You fans are fools
The club is taking the piss out of us fans at this point now, no direction, no leadership. Amorim was an aweful, aweful appointment by the football club. Out of his depth.
Man U are gonna be in a relegation battle this season. Maybe better for them to be relegated amd start afresh. Nottingham Forest should be an example: 1. Man U are not run in a financially coherent manner, this is now catching up with them. It is not far off to see how they could easily become bankrupt. 2. Seven or more players earning over 150K per week. 3. Man U has no appeal to players around the world. Those days have long gone. 4. They should use several strong academy players. 5. They've made a financial loss on players, such as: Rashford, Casemiro, Antony, Mount, Shaw, Zirkzee, De Ligt etc. 6. The above would be good as a B team. 7. Amorim is too rigid with his formation as he does not have the players, and it doesn't look like Sir Jim Glazer is going to let off any money to buy players. 8. McTominay, Sancho, Elanga, and other players (even Greenwood) who left are thriving since leaving them. 9. Spoilt fans living in the 1993-2013 era and an ownership making off of the 1993-2013 era of domination.
Amorim is a PE teacher who’s good at PR but not managing players or dealing with stars at the club. 3-4-3 is not working the players are not responding so he is forcing the issue and sinking. 39 year old to naive young to manage UTD. Just like Spurs manager no plan B 😂
The sooner UTD fans realize they are less than bang average and know this is where they are and this is where they'll stay and have stayed for years........then they will be able to sleep at night😂
The biggest problem at 0ld Trafford is and always was .. ARROGANCE. Anyone signing and going to MU is so far up their own backsides and believe in their own hype. They need to be more humble and concentrate on playing well instead of posing for cameras.. Feet on the ground players that Want to work hard.
If United go down they are completely finished Ineos and the glazers would suck the very last they can out of the club it would have to be sold or go bankrupt and we would fall down the leagues could be decades before coming back up through them
And yeah let’s bring young players into a team that’s struggling and has the fans bling players that come off that would be great for young players wouldn’t it what a clown
They will continue to be mediocre while they have a poor attitude in and around the squad, new players arrive and become infected. It's like gangrene, the longer they leave it, the harder it will be. This has been obvious for at least 5 years. They needed to sell about 15 of their squad then, now it's about 20.
The club is rotten from top to bottom........ Amorin will go as he is clearly out of his depth and Southgate will be appointed.......... They will go down, and struggle for a decade at least.
I bet the greedy glazers wish they had taken 5 b off Qatar because that figure was more than the club was worth anyway and I guarantee that nobody will pay anywhere near that figure now but that's greed for you
All leads back to the bloody glazers and when you let bankers run the football transfer side for a decade and wasted hundreds of millions on mediocre players so Sir Jim and Ruben have the mess to clear up

United literally already have a target on their back in every regard . I think the “united tax” is one of the main reasons we can’t get any reasonable players in at decent prices
if its Amor-out already get big Sam in and if he saves them from relegation give him a knighthood lol
You have to wonder if Ineos are devaluing the value of Manchester united with the aim of buying the rest of the club
Maybe relegation would be a good thing for United? They would be forced into a reset then
I said it last season when they were struggling.
How is it seemingly zirkzee has been singled out for so much criticism having only been there 3 months
And imagine being threatened you have to come now or never he should never have came after that
I feel like we're in a loop, all the pundits, fans and otherwise are saying the exact same thing as they have for the last 10yrs
Just saying Liverpool vs Man Utd is 16:30 on Sun 5th Jan - Arsenal fan here😅
Has to be the worst take ever you see what happens if you get relegated you club would fold in like 9 weeks 😭
That might be Ineos' goal. They can make billions by selling all the assets and developing Old Trafford into high density housing. Ineos are an equity firm who are in it to make profit.
Relegation is never the answer and not the way to reset
If they go down they will not be able to afford any of the players they have, they won't be able to sell them all, they won't be able to sell them for the money they want
The Glazer's would only leave if they made money from the deal and they would leave the new owners to clear the debts
The new players United sign will be Championship level but will expect £100k wages because they are joining United as part of the rebuild or would expect massive pay increases upon promotion, if they manage to get promoted amongst all the chaos, they will then have a very weak side in the Premier League and might never get back to the top again due to PSR
Yes teams go down, bounce back and rebuild, but nobody with the debts of United, the wages of United, the pressures of United and so many players who won't have any kinds of relegation clauses in their contracts.
"He can have 5 grand a week playing for Peterborough utd or he can have 5k a week playing for Manchester Utd"
And just stick with that philosophy all the way back up the levels.
Get rid of the "Man Utd tax" and spending policies that brought them to their knees
For the last 12 years they've been circling the drain.
It was there before Ten Hag got there and he almost replaced the whole squad and it’s still there 🤷♂️
Rashford on 350k a week is a serious crime, ans that spanish waiter
sell the players it's that simple?...who's going to pay for them and no one is leaving a £200k a week wage 😅
United need a proper number 9
The fans need to boycott the stadium but instead they throw money at the players and then whinge and whine when they can’t be bothered to play for the club 🤣🤣🤣🤣 You fans are fools
This year they can
The club is taking the piss out of us fans at this point now, no direction, no leadership. Amorim was an aweful, aweful appointment by the football club. Out of his depth.
Not one of these Manchester United fans are from Manchester 🧐👎🏻
Man U are gonna be in a relegation battle this season. Maybe better for them to be relegated amd start afresh. Nottingham Forest should be an example:
How do you do that?
If United go down they are completely finished Ineos and the glazers would suck the very last they can out of the club it would have to be sold or go bankrupt and we would fall down the leagues could be decades before coming back up through them
And yeah let’s bring young players into a team that’s struggling and has the fans bling players that come off that would be great for young players wouldn’t it what a clown
Funny TS say they need a reset considering who runs them
wouldn't it be funny if the only reason Man U are not relegated is because Man City have a large points deduction ???
United have not intentionally bought terrible players
"No moralatol"? Thank goodness for that. The drug testers would have a field day with that.
Relegation so sunny jim can buy out the glazers.
And how come every time there’s a new manager there’s a new group of deadwood what a joke
They will continue to be mediocre while they have a poor attitude in and around the squad, new players arrive and become infected. It's like gangrene, the longer they leave it, the harder it will be. This has been obvious for at least 5 years. They needed to sell about 15 of their squad then, now it's about 20.
Ruben Villas Boas
Ruben Interim 🤣
Amo rim job
He could be😅 Villas Boas was fantastic at Porto and came to Chelsea and .....
Me too😂😂
The club is rotten from top to bottom........ Amorin will go as he is clearly out of his depth and Southgate will be appointed.......... They will go down, and struggle for a decade at least.
Another one...
United have had zero bounce manager effect
Hottest prospect in European football 😂 in the highly competitive Portuguese league 😂😂 the delusion is all tine high !
He plays with 3 at the back
@Gordongecko5555 🤣🤣🤣 Hows that playing out for him in the prem 💀
I bet the greedy glazers wish they had taken 5 b off Qatar because that figure was more than the club was worth anyway and I guarantee that nobody will pay anywhere near that figure now but that's greed for you
All leads back to the bloody glazers and when you let bankers run the football transfer side for a decade and wasted hundreds of millions on mediocre players so Sir Jim and Ruben have the mess to clear up
Relegation would be good haha clueless fan
Wolves don’t want that shite either Jermaine leave it out
Better under Ten Haag
they’re having a complete reset. Jim is seeing to that
jim’ll fixit
Has anyone checked that zirkzee is actually a footballer?….. he looks like a bad actor pretending to be a footballer…… Taibi V2?
I’ve never heard so much bs in my life
How would getting relegated be a good thing ?.
Moronic.
I'm bored of the premier league... championship would be a laugh
😂
