Biography

Mikael was raised in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania, since 1980. Mikaels interest and dedication to music and singing evolved from the early age of fourteen as he began his musical education in the gospel choir of Cardinal Dougherty High School. His experience in that choir led to his involvement with Ecstasy, a five-boy singing group.
In 1994, he auditioned for an R&B talent search sponsored by Bet and Motown. He was selected among thousands of participants to be one of three finalists chosen for the show BET Motown Talent Search. At the age of sixteen, his first major show saw him singing alongside legendary Salsa singer Celia Cruz while performing in front of vast audience.
