Thanks Brendan! Your video almost covers all of the skills measured. I just took the PPT 2019 exam and got 976. I will keep learning from your video. Thanks again!
@Aries He this is awesome news! You did very well on this exam! I'm thankful to hear that you found my videos helpful as you prepared. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
Thanks Brendan for this great advice, I have a MOS Certification for PowerPoint 2016 on December 2nd. I am kind of nervous but I feel ready to take the exam. In fact, the videos you create are really helpful, especially this one. Kudos to you.
@Pasindu Nimsha I'm thankful to hear that my videos could be of help to you as you prepare for this exam. If you read the questions carefully you should be okay. I wish you the best tomorrow! Thank you for taking the time to comment!
I recently took my Powerpoint exam yesterday and I got a 893, thanks to watching your videos really helped a lot. The only thing I would suggest making a video on, is how to edit the photo album only thing I didn't know.
@Nicole Jones you did awesome! Congrats to you! I'm thankful to hear that my video was helpful to you. Also, thank you for the video suggestion. I will write that down. Congrats again!
Hi Brendan, I took the MOS PowerPoint Certification through Certiport in school and I ended up failing it. I got 600 and the passing grade is 700. I might give it a second try next year because I have to prepare for finals this year. Again, thanks for the great advice and keep doing what you are doing.
@Pasindu Nimshan I'm sorry to hear this. You were close. I wouldn't take it too hard. I've seen educators who teach PowerPoint earn a similar score. It's not that they didn't know the content, but it is because of the wording of the task questions. I a few videos that I will be releasing on the PowerPoint 2016 exam over the next few months covering the five exam domains. If they are not all out by the time you go to retake the exam, send me an email, and I will work on trying to get you early access to anything not yet released.
Thank you for all the tips. I passed with a 875. The program had an error and wouldn't download two tasks which involved inserting outline .docx files. Another student had the same issue last week and couldn't download the outline files.
@Morning Breeze congrats on passing this exam. I am glad to hear that your testing having issues didn't hinder you from earning passing the exam! Hopefully the place where you tested contacts Certiport to get that issue fixed.
Hey, I know this comment is a lot more recent but I was wondering if it is possible to take the exam for free. I'm a current student in high school and was wondering if there is some kind of student discount.
@xXStefan PlayzXx without seeing the question I have to make some inferences. I'm thinking that you had a slide with a layout of two content or something similar. A previous task might have asked you to change the layout. One of the content boxes had the table you referenced and the other content box might have been blank or had a default chart. If the box was blank, you would need to click the icon to create a chart. A small Excel table would have appeared and you would have needed to key in the same data from the other table to build the chart. If there was a chart then you would have needed to select the chart and on the chart tools design tab selected edit data. From there you would have keyed in the data from the other table.
In my past exam.. they asked me to create a chart based on a textbox than contains required data.(Simple), but a category was called "Years", and one of the years from the textbox was "2018(this year)". What exactly I should typed in than chart? (2018 or 2018(this year)). My answer was "2018(this year)", but I am not really sure that my answer was true
From what you have said, and not actually seeing the question. I would have typed exactly the text that you saw in the textbox which was 2018(this year).
@Harshbir Ahuja actually yes. I think the reason for the different recording dates on this video was that I wanted to add something to the video. A lot of my videos are recorded around 5 AM because everyone is asleep in my house. The intro to this video was actually recorded like 6 months before I recorded the screen portion. This was a project that I had started and had to put on hold for other projects. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Tysm ! My exam is on a few days and you helped and prepared me a lot! Thx :)
Thank you Brendan I passed my exam thanks to your videos

Ok, so i had a question where a table was given on a slide, and i had to insert a chart based on the info in the table. How to do that???

You are right that they mask what they really want you to do. And like a bonus, they add tricky questions like this.
Btw thank you for your feedback!
Did you make this video at 5 in the morning over two days?
@Harshbir Ahuja actually yes. I think the reason for the different recording dates on this video was that I wanted to add something to the video.
