Meruem was also only alive for a short period of time so his potential would have also been extremely high. (Similar to Gon's or anyone else that had large advances in short burst of personal experience.) Almost anytime he used one of the Nen disciplines, it was for a very specified purpose but he would modify it enough to make it overwhelming in it's effect. I think he was only alive a few months maybe? 🤔
