@@markuserikssen Sure, I love Friesland, and this Rotterdammer is a parttime Drent :) But T&T travel by train, and do love an art museum. Once they breathed the northern air, they inevitably will return.
That looks great. From what I could see I really liked the zebras. I also like that you can see a picture of all the artists outside. Snert is a very good soup for the winter, it is a meal in soup form. There is nothing better after a cold walk than a warm pea soup. Great video.
I do hope you got to see a bit of Zwolle as well as it is quite a nice town :) As are nearby Kampen and Elburg. Yes, good snert is especially delicious on cold days. It just warms you up and fills you. And it's quite common for families to make a very large pan full and freeze in the rest for later in the winter ;) The ice sculptures are certainly amazing. And if you want them all on film or photograph without people, I can understand that you would have to be there for a while. Congrats on 4k. May many more follow.
Awesome video again T&T. The both of you got so good at doing this! The ice sculptures look amazing and the video quality is top notch, even in the dark. Thanks for sharing. Yes, please make some delicious pea soup and share the result. I’m enjoying this video from Wayland, Missouri this time. My favorite is the African part with the animals and tree 😃
Studied and lived 4 years in Zwolle. Assendorp neighborhood. I love it. Got one of my COVID shots at the IJsselhallen. Funny that you mentioned that 🤣.
Enjoyed it again! We had a ice sculpture festival in Eindhoven, unfortunately it didn't last, but well, we still have 'Dutch Chili Fest' and 'Step in the Arena' :)
Wow, that looks stunning. I never heard about this event, even though I live in the north. So many great sculptures there. I really want to go next time. Congrats on 4000 subscribers as well! 😁 Snert is delicious indeed! At home, we usually put a bit of Maggi (a flavor enhancer) on it, which makes it taste even better.
Nooo to Bad as we know it we came to there to you we life in Zwolle!😪🤭 and we die to meet you guys! het ijsbeelden festival is geweldig!!🤩 #ijsbeeldenfestival #otherredheads
Cool video (pun intended). Those sculptures were masterpieces. For snert you can look up recipes for your favorite ingredients and really make it your own. We are certainly snert people. And indeed your spoon should be standing. Making watery snert is blasphemy. You will get deported 😜. ❤❤❤
Cool video LOL🤣🤣🤣 Next video should be summer related. The ice sculptures where amazing much respect to the creators well done. Other than that a great video keep up the great work T and T👍 En nog een prettige dag toegewenst😊
Beautiful video/exhibition! I would advise het Openluchtmuseum. It is an open air museum located in Arnhem. It focuses on the everyday lives of ordinary people, and demonstrating the old way of life in the Netherlands. They have 555.000 visitors every year. Also very impressive and interesting is the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten. It's shows the respect we have for our American liberators. Look for it on RUclips.
Another great video, thanks! Glad to see you finally tried snert. And a little pointer to help with your Dutch pronunciations: some vowels sound differently in Dutch (in some contexts). For example, the 'e' in snErt (or Erwtensoep) is pronounced more like a short 'a' in 'hAck' and the 'oo' in 'stroopwafel' more like the 'o' in 'Open' - not like the English 'oo' as in 'stoop'. Best of luck!
Wow I did not know there is a icesculpture show in the Netherlands! Looks real impressive! I love the Dutch Erwtensoep! It is so much more than just peas! There is speck, rookworst, split green peas, bladselderie, "Knolraap" , some people add potatoes.. It is a real winter special! Great to see your videos each week.
Nice video! Check out the upcoming Vermeer exhibition at the Rijksmuseum. A once in a lifetime opportunity to see so many Vermeer's paintings in one exhibition.
Snert is the best when you let it stand a day , time consuming. Use meat with bone to start with (krabbetjes or hamschijf i use ) with some bouillonblokjes then the split peas and water, when the split peas are dissolved you can add veggies (carrot-leak-onion etc , google can help with that ) and some cutted speklapjes. I remove the meat with bone at that point and get the meat of the bones and place that back. Then let it cook thicker and add some cut rookworst in at the end , then let it stand on the cook top for the night and the next day it should be thick and yummy. I love snert so much , I love the rookworst from the butcher the cheaper unox etc are not doing right in snert
Home made snert can get quite serious, with porc leg, also for the bone, and different kinds of bacon and porc chops. It's not that hard but it takes time, it is even better the next day and maybe the butcher has a meat packet for it.
You should go way further north than Zwolle - try Groningen f.i. ;-)
An praise for the 100% correct pronunciation of Zwolle
Agreed, Groningen city is very nice. Don't forget to visit some Frisian cities too, like Dokkum, Leeuwarden or Sneek!

Klopt. Maar Zwolle is ook iets makkelijker dan Scheveningen. 😄
@@margreetanceaux3906 Haha, for sure! There are also a lot of good bus connections.

Cool that you visited my hometown! I hope you guys also visited our historic city centre, it's only a ten minute walk from the IJsselhallen.
We were able to spend a bit of time there, but we will absolutely be back to film another video about the city itself soon!

Great tip on the rookworst from the butcher, thank you!
10:35 Zo is dat Tracey, het is snert, geen plassoep. 😌
I’d like to have your opinion on the Zuidas. Saw it on TV. Wonder if you come to same conclusion. PS Was there a best in show icework?
We’ll have to take a look! No best in show, Just lots of celebrating all the ice sculptures in one place.

nice video again (tip: try to pronounce the e in snert, like the a in bad)
Nice video but ....even the audio in your video became a little frosty ! 😂 Could be some interference between your two remote microfons ! 🤔
Great video! Beautiful sculptures, 🧊. Please visit the efteling in Kaatsheuvel, it,s really an adventures 🎠
Hopefully, soon! 🤞🏻
