I just love the beginning. Such a healthy relationship. Respect for each others feelings and checking in with each other. Open and honest, just how it should be. The exact same as I am with my hubby and we’ve been together 21 years.
I’m also fascinated by Josh’s accent. It changes depending on who he is with.
I think it's because he's had a nomadic life and has a developed the abillity to react to how the people around him speak, just a guess? Certainly his English, I wonder what his Korean
accent is and Gabbies as she's a nomad as well, does it change like his English one?

i really liked the conversation between Gabie and Josh in the beginning. It's not necessarily because Josh would be suspicious of Gabie but it's more so Gabie being considerate and mindful of Josh's feelings and vice versa. Being comfortable enough to have an open conversation with your partner is so important and I think is key for the longevity of the relationship. I hope to experience such a relationship one day

요리를 취미로서 하든 집에서 하는거 하고 쉐프라는 직업 삼아 일을 했을때 하고 다르듯이 또 식당을 창업 하고 경영 하는것도 다른 얘기임ㅋㅋㅋ

And I agree opening a restaurant takes a lot of time, physical labor, and money. I've seen my mom do it several times now and after seeing how tough it is I knew it wasn't for me. I am happy with just my partner and friends enjoying my cooking for now. Every now and then I do think about opening a small cafe or something tho 😅😅

i agree w them, it takes a lot more than just being a good cook/chef to run a restaurant
a lot of other good chefs tried and their restaurant usually only booming for the first year at most and they closed down
so a lot of those chefs usually just work in a restaurant

Yes in Korea they have also done it, some restaurants don’t even have physical location as they switch around the menu and decorations everytime they have new event at new location like cooking studio or renting other place’s kitchen.

What about a private reservations only dinner? Kind of like omakase- so you can focus on the cooking and allow people to also try out your delicacies
쉐프라는 직업을 가진 사람들 누구든 가지고 있는 자기만의 레스토랑을 가지는게 꿈이지만 일을 하면 할수록 그리고 요리 경력이 쌓이면 쌓일수록 어렵다고만 느껴지는것 같아요
I think it’d be fun if you had an immersive experience where you have small classes of maybe four people tops, teaching them your craft while having beautiful conversations teaching them new skills while making a specific meal whenever it’s doable for you. That way people can taste your delicious food. A fun experience.

I understand the kind of relationship described by Gabie although Sid teased her about it (maybe he's just joking XD), because its similar with what i have with my husband. We have been together for a decade, and i think we probably stick together more than Gabie and Josh (Considering how they are probably busier than us), but i still think its not enough time spent together😂 I say that, but we also do our own things well, more like an interdependent relationship. I think when you have a healthy and trusting relationship, you appreciate the time being together, but also understand that you can have live your own life without worrying too much. 🥰

HAHHAHAA i think why Josh doesnt have a problem with Sid, other than a western perspective, is that Sid is too realistic and really a brother type. He even questions Gabbie 😂Theyre so funny. How about a vlog with Josh and Sid bonding time. Like a cooking class for Josh and Ollie 😂 or a cooking class for Max and Armand. I would love to see that.

We have the same perspective, I would want my "me" time from my partner. It's not creepy and obsessive, it's called respect for each other and love for each other.
How about a pop up restaurant for the two of you? Just like how Josh and Ollie did before.. i mean, you already did the cooking before why not now too 😂 but your own pop up and do that as main menu ❤

This was so cute! Sid was funny. Please come to America and make sotbap :) Also Gabie you should watch the television show The Bear. It's one of the best television shows I have seen and it's about opening a restaurant. I learned it seems stressful and you need a lot of passion!
That show actually stressed me out so much!! Not all chefs are aggressive and toxic ..
I remember reading Antony Bourdain's first book where he gloriously describes chefs as druggie, toxic, oversexed, adrenaline junkie food pirates. But then he makes a small caveat and I believe compares his kitchen at Les Halles to the calm, efficient pristine kitchen of someone like Thomas Keller.
@@gabiekook I felt so bad for Carmy :( Season 2 made me feel better about the industry though! There were lots of nice + creative + supportive people!! And the food looked so pretty omg
@@harvestmoon_autumnsky HA! I loved Anthony's shows. He's very missed. I read a review of The Bear that said the industry is changing too, and younger chefs have higher standards for the workplace culture. I hope that's true ❤

저도 개인적으로 호주남자와 결혼해서 어린아이 둘을 키우고 있는데 결혼후 무조건 2-3년지나면 점점 불행해진다는 관념이 한국이 심한것 같아요. 영미권에서는 더이상 사랑하지 않으면 이혼하는 경우가 비교적 많아서 그런면도 있고 연차와 상관없이 서로간의 사랑과 로맨스를 노력을 해서 유지하는것을 훨신더 중요하게 생각하는것 같아요. 서양에서도 일부남자들은 결혼을 하는순간 이제 다른여자를 못만나게 된다는 생각때문에 망설이는 경우도 있고 결혼전에 마지막으로 놀아보자며 총각파티로 스트립클럽 같은곳을 가는경우도 있지만, 보수적이거나, 특히 독실한 기독교 집안이면 남자라고 막놀지도 않는 경우가 많기때문에 주러 결혼을 전제로 만나고 결혼을한후에는 계속 부부의 로맨스를 유지하는것에 의미를 많이 두는것 같습니다. 저도 결혼한지 8년이 넘고 아이도 둘낳고 남편이 두번다 출산을 목격했지만 아직도 서로와의 로맨스를 중요하고 당연하게 생각하더라구요. 저희 시어머니도 아시아 나라에서 할머니가 남편을 혼자두고 자식집에가서 애기를 봐주는것 전혀 이해를 못하시더라구요. 부부가 먼저지 어떻게 남편을 버리고 갈수가 있냐고 하시더라구요.

You know a couple has been together for a while, when they're just casually talking to their partner naked, while doing other tasks. 😅
Also, it's nice to see people trust each other. I was just having a conversation with a friend the other day, and we agreed that if the person is demanding to know where the partner is, who they're with, especially if it's someone the partner would find attractive, the problem *isn't* that the partner is around that other person, and the problem isn't that other person either. The problem is the relationship the two people are in, and the untrustworthy partner, or why they (as the non-trusting person) feel the need to search their pockets, phones etc. The problem is that the trust is gone, which is a symptom only, of a much larger issue.
