@@Ciel_is_cold well tbh it was constant headaches and my eyes usually blinked too much ! i couldnt even have eye contact to a man standing 1m front of me in broad daylight ! My eyes were that sensitive and wearing patka or turban caused my hairline and forehead stretched that caused pressure on my eyes ! @N singh i am sikh and i am in a very similar situation to this and i feel that having a child forced into a religion without consent is disgusting and should not be practised no matter what and i think my stance is completely justified.... come up with actual criticism if you hate my comment enough to accuse me of being jealous.
@N singh i never wrote anything about sikhs not looking "handsome" because that is not the reason why i don't feel comfortable with my religion.... please don't have a superiority complex... no religion is superior to the other..... also stop the name-calling... if you can't come up with a rational argument please don't reply to this and embarrass yourself further (ik you probably won't reply lol).
@N singh nope.... i don't believe in religion and feel highly uncomfortable practising a religion that does not represent my views... also I told you to not reply with irrational comments, which you clearly don't know how to lol.

When we were in high school, our one classmate was Sikh, with uncut hair. While his younger brother was a cut surd and also having a small 'shikha' type from the back.
Allow religious freedom if a child is at their will to cut their hair it should be their choice especially nearing adulthood. Shoving religion down ones throat will almost always backfire.
if yuo are hindu u should be pure hindu if sikh pure sikh for tour kind information un sikh religion either he or she is chil or adult he has not to cut hair sab sikhon ko hukam hai guru manyo granth
Try to teach your kids spirituality and give them the knowledge of oneness with universe instead of guilt tripping them for cutting hair. Once your child experiences Oneness with universe he would not feel like cutting it himself. To put it in layman terms, if Sikhism is a school then you are directly putting your child in 10th class rather than making them go step by step from Kindergarten. Thousands of sikhs sacrificed their lives not because of hair but because they could not see injustice done by Muslim rulers of their time. Please be sensible and do not guilt trip your child. Teach your children about spirituality, everything else will automatically follow.
Absolutely !!! You just stole my words veer !!! When u teach higher level of spirituality , you tend to stop cutting your hairs just like naga sadhus . thats the problem with sikhs . They think , keeping long hairs of son will make him sikh....lol...today or tomorrow or for probably entire life , he will be in doubt. Also , parents themselves don't follow sikhi properly ...its all bhed chaal....I know 2 hindu Punjabi guys who became sikh by keeping hairs . I find them better Sikhs than regular sikhs Becos they always had option of haircut for life but they chose sikhism. They got connected to it .... Good words !!! This guilt trip is doing no good to our community.
Sikhs are not puppits, if you feel like doing something which you think is correct, you can do it, noone should force you to follow a traditional belief as Sikhs are supposed to question everything, whether it is meaningless tradition or belief on god itself. Remember guru nanak just taught us to question everything, and not to believe anything blindly, so here is my question that what is the use of hair? If there is a valid scientific reason, tell me otherwise, you can cut your hair small boy👍 . If you want to.
But most sikhs kept hairs as a saint from the beginning , unshhorn hairs r considered a s quality of man with patience , meditation ,higher state etc ... Until you don't submerge yourself into deep meditation, you won't feel comfortable keeping kesh
