    Wow i loved this water feature video, it also gave me an idea for making a planter just below the soil surface 😀

    Wow all the negative comments... Guys it's obviously a blueprint on how you can get a water feature built without hiring professionals. That's why it's called a DIY. You can add and change anything you want on this feature, they are just helping you understand the process. I think the video was great and it helped me Thanks!

      I agree with your comment 100% I've been wanting a very small water feature without a lot of maintenance. I need to find out where to buy this!

      I'm American, minus the smartass part. Lol I'm sorry you've run into some rude Americans. I promise we aren't all that way. If I don't like a video, especially a diy, I just keep scrolling. I don't believe in putting others down.

    Why don't you use more powered pump in order to make the water feature more visible? Because at the end of this video, I expect more, but I don't see where was the flowing water ^_^

    Couple if things. Should have had a route under the river stones so you could hide the power. Second you should have a small hole in the pot so all of the water can drain back into the underground container when the pump is not running. Less water loss over time and no mosquito laying eggs in areas you have to worry about them.

    The effort was there but the outcome left something to be desired. Clogged drains flow faster than that. I don't think I would call this a 'water feature'.

      +BuildersFan when you cant visably see water moving you cant call it a water feature. you need a 150 gallon pump at least to get the flow a customer would want. other then the lack of flowing water it was decent

      Yeh, you'd be so peeved if you paid a garden designer to make a water feature and they dug up the lawn to give you this weeping plastic bucket surrounded by pebbles.

    I love the cement around the water feature! Never thought about doing this...But my question is with it being so low to the ground do you have much problem with yard drainage causing problems that might flow into the water feature?

    Water feature? I've seen a dehydrated ant part with more liquid than this effort! All that work - it's a feature - but a water feature - it aint!

  • @blubbaditty
    @blubbaditty 5 лет назад +1

    I'm thinking the real reason he turned the pot on its side is because this grossly underpowered pump couldn't actually push the water up high enough to get over the lip of the pot if it was upright. There are some good ideas here, but the end result is a joke. Seriously, it's ugly as hell. And why go through all the trouble of pouring concrete and putting pebbles in it if you're just going to cover the whole thing up with cobbles? Seriously, what was this dude thinking?

  • @johngrossmann7456
    @johngrossmann7456 3 года назад +1

    How not to post a DIY video - final result was awful. No water volume, more water seep than feature. Electric wire vanished. I doubt the concrete ring will last two years without cracking up as I saw no base or reinforcment. So, how do you clean this thing? Perhaps the author will delete this video so folks don't waste their time watching it. I have watched about 20 water feature videos and this was the worse by a long shot.
