Surprisingly Jack Sock was one of the nicest Tennis Players I’ve ever met! Watched his very last match ever, a mixed doubles match with Coco Gauff as his partner at the 2023 US Open. It was like 9 PM when the match ended, and Jack stayed for an extra hour taking photos with every single person who stayed to watch his last match. Even though this video might not show it, but Jack Sock is a class act.
that was Djokovic being a poor sport honestly, Nadal's shot was by no means meant to do any harm, it was a slow ball and that was objectively his best play, some of those shots were hit with the intention to hit and hurt at list a little :D
@@FastToysClub This happens in every single doubles match,Sock just has a really fast forehand. None of this was unsportsmanlike nor intentional except Gonzales vs Stepanek.
@@geometricart7851 no wait, you're not SUPPOSED to aim at the person, when you have an easy smash with the entire field at your disposal usually there's no reason to aim at the person, it's considered poor sportmanship in this specific instance. But in this match Gonzalez was really angry at Stepanek because Stepanek was wasting time on purpose between Gonzalez's serving points, so he just hit the smash on him with all his power, hoping it would hurt at least a little bit, you can see the difference with when Sock hit Federer, everyone was laughing, Federer was at the net, that's a legit pass to the body, like you say it's a lot of the time the correct shot to make, and as tennis player they know it, and just have a laugh, getting a smash on the ass, is not really the same 🤣
100% necessary. Don’t stand there trying to take away angles and options if you don’t want to get hit. Conceded the point by retreating / moving out of the way if you can’t handle getting hit.
@@JK-vc7ie Right the whole point of winning is to freaking be a boss and get up close and smash that ball. If the other guy decides to turn around or get scared and block it with his body, that's on him! haha
It's super inconsistent to put doubles and singles in the same video. There's a massive difference between punting it at someone when the court is open and trying to hit through when there are two people at the net in doubles
I think it's partly involuntary, although some are intentional. It's a game not just physical, but mental. And it is possible, and it is very likely that the player will perform a trick to affect his opponent's mental state to avoid concentrating, by baffling his emotions. This is my opinion only.
Yeah it's part of the game. Especially with Djokovic getting all pissy when he'd turned his back on Norrie. You've got zero comeback if you abandon a point
Does anyone know if they’re ever been professional tennis injuries caused by pegs in singles? I’ve seen a lot more in doubles, but not much in singles.
Tennis balls are going significantly faster and are much tougher and smaller so the point of contact of a tennis ball is much smaller. It just hurts a lot more. Also in volleyball you’re pretty used to getting hit. In tennis you’re not.
I THINK COMPLAINING FOR BODY SHOT IS NOT FAIR , SOMETIMES SERVE AND VOLLYERS GO TO NET THE OPPONENT IS FORCED TO MAKE ERROR . SO THE OPPONENT HAS LIMITED OPTIONS TO REDUCE ERROR .
If you haven't been pegged by a ball at least once or twice you really don't play. I don't get why they blame it on the server. It's not the servers fault you can't hit the ball.
So, hitting the opponent automatically gives you the point. I have once got a point by hitting the serve receiver in his shoe behind the baseline. No arguments there. I wonder why serving players do not aim for the net player in the doubles...
I mean the first one he hit it right to him and didnt put it away so I would say the guy that got hit would be at fault because he could have returned that
its funny that anyone would ever be upset about getting hit by the ball. the entire match is designed to make the other person not be able to return it....duh, its law of averages that youre gonna get hit once in a while.
Sock hit more players then winners.
Thats why he transitioned to playing pickleball lol
😂😂
That is a winner when you hit them.
😂
You forgot the most iconic one, Mahut being hit like 4 times in the same match, 2 of those in the family jewels
Sock hit federer with 100km forehand on the net in his final match. What a athlete…
Picleball at its best.
lmao pickleball
Not his final match bud

Just noticed that Sock got 3 of these highlights. Not a coincidence at this point…
Exactly !
Ok? So he’s smart and hits his strongest shot at the body so they can’t move for it
@@infinitetrex1127 that is maybe a legal shot but pretty unsportsmanlike. You wouldn’t like it if you were in the receiving end.

I like the pause/black & white at 06:05 with Djoko and Norrie. Would have been much better if Novak had glowing red eyes
Fedal fans are the ones with glowing red eyes 🤣🤣🤣😘😘😘🙌🙌🙌
I like the how Novak reacts after that, like 'light fire'. He really needs this in AO2024.
Gonzalez never gets old, he was majorly pissed at Stepanek, good for Stepanek in tennis you can't touch the opponent :D
Why was he so pissed aren't you supposed to aim the ball at the person? IF they turn around or can't block or hit it with the racket that's on them!

Djokovic when he hits people: Lol JK yolo.
Djokovic when he gets hit: I AM GONNA SLOWLY CUT YOUR HEART OUT
😂
I would have just said sorry, but it's not my F' fault you block my shots with your body!
Berdych was such a sissy, Almagro immediately apologised, not nice to not even give a handshake at the end of the match
Gonzalez didn’t even apologize
why would he when he did it on purpose
Perfectly legitimate play.
yep, bunch of sissys in the peanut gallery
I just liked when the commentator said “Ooh. Probably not necessary”

Can someone explain what happened 04:50 ?
I only see Simon's injury but without contex
Sock hitting another player twice in the video, and merely apologizing...interesting

We need to talk about how Federer and Djokovic can be a great pair in playing doubles 🥹❤️
Gonzalez big shot kkkk
07:11 😂😂😂😂❤
Notice Mr. Sock was the instigator of a few of these! Just sayin'!
Norrie's shot was uncalled for, i would probably be as upset as djoker haha
if you cant stand the heat get out of the chicken.
4:50 i saw Lopez live and i can ensure you that his serve can really destroy yourself !
With the exception of Gonzales, there is no dirty play here. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
You could argue that the Coria one was similar. Anyway, I liked Stepanek's game but he could be a dick sometimes

Tennistic Productions... Great videos as always 👍👍👍
Thank you for an amazing video!
Gonzales definitely had some dirty moments in his career. Surprised not to see Djokovic vs. Nadal Montreal 2013 here?
Missed Lendl tagging McEnroe at the WCT Finals🤷♂️
There's nothing wrong with hitting it at your opponent. Completely valid strategy.

What happens if the ball comes back to the court from the other player's body? Is that a legal shot?
No
Sock is a beast

What's wrong about that ? In volley ball they got hit all the time sometimes in the head. They are no such drama/ego stuff like that.
Tennis balls are going significantly faster and are much tougher and smaller so the point of contact of a tennis ball is much smaller. It just hurts a lot more. Also in volleyball you’re pretty used to getting hit. In tennis you’re not.
It’s called volleyball, not volley ball
It’s significantly more painful due to simple physics, and someone I know broke their pinky finger from being hit during a tournament
Agree 100 %. You have to move away if the ball is coming at you.
Yup. Just primpy tennis ego culture crap. Lol
Worst part about tennis. Better-than-thou femininely sensitive culture.
How can you have a video like this and not include Lendl? The King of the Headhunters. And he delighted in drilling Johnny Mac as often as he could.
All of y'all calling Sock out don't realise that sock was a doubles player and its bound to happen
I think Mr.Sock is noticeably often in there...
What about Tsisipas trying to hit Kyrgios at winbledon. He did not hit but the intention was there clearly.
The best way to sell me things is to make a 2:30 add that I can't skip....

I’m okay with being hit just scared of the one in doubles that comes from the partner.
Tomas Berdych was a sore loser lmao, I've seen him act like this in a lot of matches
Stepanek was a troll
Good tactic sometimes, and all are fair play. More proof that tennis players are princesses.
No Ostapenko getting a point off serving to the wrong side/hitting an opponent at Wimbledon?
Hit a bad shot, then close the net and take away all angles for your opponent, and then complain when you get hit.
If you play tennis, your gonna get hit by the ball eventually. It’s no big deal, and 99/100 not intentional

But Nadal did that to win the point and apologised when he hit him
And when they shake hands at the net he apologised

No one should apologize. It's part of the game.
So the takeaway from this is that Sock is a dirty player
so many 🧦 shots

Sock is so lame for that. He did this numerous times, no class at all.
