I think he needed someone to at least say anything at all to him. None of his own partners said nothing to him, and the fact that it was the rival who finally did maybe convinced him beyond what he said.

@@ambikeyamohapatra2482 Portuguese and Spanish are around 80% similar. You can even mix portuguese and Spanish words in a sentence (we call it portuñol) and speakers of both languages will understand most of what you say. It's so similar that many foreigners that come to live in Portugal start by learning some Spanish (which is easier to learn) and then slowly transition to portuguese
The Ivashka incident was seriously absurd. Does the umpire want to time the player when he shits and the amount of feces he produces? This was absolutely insane.
Yeah, I would have refused to play too. What's the point in playing if the ump is going to decide who wins due to bathroom breaks.

Replace Dennis with Paire or Kyrgios in that same incident and then we would see just how much was this the umpire's skill.

A lot of players just do the handshake or racquet tap. He's also one of the best players on tour, having won the ATP finals last year, defeating a prime Thiem, Djokovic, and Nadal. How does he suck?
