    Super useful content. And yes $280is out of control. A quick video on how to calculate the actually squeeze factor of your anamorphic adapter could be fun. I usually calculate my own height/width to do a proper desqueeze in Resolve. Often it doesn’t look quite right. And I end up wondering, “is this really a 2x’ adapter.

    Thanks Tito. Ordering the glass now. I also inquired if the aliexpress shop accepts custom orders, for example to copy the Kowa B&H doublet lens elements and have blue coatings so I can do a lens element swap. They said they can do custom orders but better if the order will be for large quantities. Smaller orders will be more expensive.

    Welp they're sold out... I asked a question a while back about these buggers and you suggested a cheap diopter for iscorama 36. Are these the ones found on ebay that can live between the isco and taking lens. Thanks,

    Theoretically, if you would add a focus mechanism (a threaded ring that mover this lens closer and further away), would this make a variable diopter? So it would be a single focus solution?

      Good point. It's just a diopter though, it shortens maximum focus and being an achromat keeps image quality.

      ​@@AnamorphicOnABudget It is my understanding that is should reduce Chromatic Aberration that occurs in many Anamorphic lenses. This to me is of great importance as it may also serve Spherical lenses that also produce Chromatic Aberration itself.

    Hello Tito, after a month and half I'm about to recieve my glass. Can you send two links to what filters to buy (I printed up the 3D print). Not sure if no ND or what. Thanks.

      Nice! Get a regular 82mm uv filter (doesn't matter if it's slim or not), and a 77mm filter that is NOT slim. I'm not gonna risk sending a link because I thought I was buying the right one on Amazon and they sent me something different. :(

    I have a SLR Magic Rangefinder with a front thread of 82mm. Is there a way to get a wider glass for it? I'm afraid a 77mm diopter will create a stronger vignette around the edges. Because of the Rangefinder I already have to deal with this issue. :/

      I have a Rapido FVD-16A and it's already 77m so I worry this diopter would cause vignetting. I wonder what size the 82mm equivalent would have to be? 79mm? And would the 3d print be scalable or would we need a different design?

    Hi there!
    I was wondering if you could help me with something... I was planning on getting a dioptre for a sirui 35mm anamorphic lens. Will it have an effect on the 1.33 aspect ratio? I just want to get closer than the 2.8 feet. Cheers

      The diopter will help with squeeze, keeping it closer to 1.33x instead of lesser at close focus. See my first Sirui video to understand more. :)

      No. Nothing really related. A single focus solution needs two high powered diopters. A positive and a negative. This one here is neither.
