When I had knee surgery on my left knee, the doctor told me my right knee which had surgery when I was 30 and now I am 82 years old at my right knee was worse than my left and in two years I would need surgery In the meantime, he told me to take glucosamine conglomerated I’ve done that till now and my knee is perfect. I’ve never needed surgery so I am a testimony that my taking that supplement is a testimony that it truly works.

      Inflammation, from various
foods. is probably a major factor...
      ..it is an auto -immune
      disease..also hereditary?
My mother and her father :
both crippled by it , now me,
      after loss of oestrogen ...
      HRT supplies oestrogen,
but brings a risk of breast
      cancer ....
      Need to assess risks
      versus benefits....
      E.g., if a lady has a total
      hysterectomy, oestrogen
      plummets....a little is still
      made, apparently, but not
      enough....😢.
I'd like to see a survey of ladies
      who lost their oestrogen via
      Ovarian Cancer : how many
got arthritis far earlier than most ?
Are there any studies on that ?

Some people roast the bones first but I never tried that. Cover with water. Simmer for 12 hours (I skim the foam off the top) and add things like garlic, vegetable pieces - onion and carrot plus some bay leaves. Strain it all out. Chill, skim the fat. The broth should be like jelly when it is cold. Freeze in smaller containers.

@@johnormsby2034 yes there are many factors. Born and raised on the open prairy where there is clean air, clean dirt, fresh unadulterated food and hard work in the sunshine. A mother who taught the respect of God and proper nutrition. A father who taught how to work with a smile. Respect for his body because it is the temple of God. At age 75 Docs said his prostrate numbers were up "we should do something" NO WAY was his answer. He rode cycles and snow mobiles and at 65 broke a leg. From 60 or 70 years of age his supplements were ginger, Q10, Metamucil, eye and prostrate over the counter meds. Around 75 he decided ginger was not necessary so quit. In a week he was too stiff to get out of bed so "I started up again."
The only prescription drug he took at death was 10 MG of lisinopril.
He was German, so drank half a bottle of beer at a time. Smoked during his service years then quit.

I have been using all your recommended supplements for many months now with really good results. I’ve had an ultra sound scan to assess the effects of Arthritis and the wear and tear on my knee joints. But I also have daily hip and hand pain and recurring knee and shoulder pain The ankle pain is daily and the neck recurring. But most locations the doctors give different reasons. I have been told the Sjogrens; fibromyalgia, arthritis, tendinitis, bursitis. The explanation varies not only by doctor but by visit. Amazingly my rheumatologist does not blame the pain on Sjogrens but varies between the other explanations. I am to the point where I don’t bring up the daily pain I will be honest if asked but for the most part my concerns are dismissed

    • @rheumatologistoncall
      @rheumatologistoncall  Год назад +1

Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain condition characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, and tenderness in localized areas known as tender points. Other common symptoms may include sleep disturbances, cognitive difficulties, and mood disorders.
The exact cause of fibromyalgia is unknown, but researchers believe it may involve a combination of genetic, environmental, and neurological factors. There is no cure for fibromyalgia, but a variety of treatments can help manage symptoms, including medications, physical therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes.
If you suspect you may have fibromyalgia, it's important to consult with a healthcare provider who can evaluate your symptoms and provide an accurate diagnosis. Diagnosis usually involves a physical exam, review of medical history, and ruling out other possible causes of your symptoms.
