With the recirculation properties of the dd fuel pump, a cracked injector can and will create air in the system. Exhaust and compression games will push through the injector and create a low pressure issue. The fuel pump is not designed to pressurize air. I have pictures of a cracked injector that was causing this and multiple other issues. I don't have a share option on this forum to show the injector.

Francisco, I had put 17k miles on water fuel filter and still not showing no levels . Notice sometimes that when backing up . Truck may smoke like if it wants to stalled out. Think the fuel system is getting air in the lines

Question on fuel pressure. Whenever you shutoff the engine, fuel pressure should stay. Had it on the computer and noticed the pressure was bleeding off a lot faster than normal. How do you determine if it is a PLV or the high pressure pump? From looking at all fuel connections haven't notice any kind of leaks. Any help is appreciated.
I have SPN 520268 FMI 10 on a 2015 frieghtliner cascadia. It says fuel system problem detected with check engine light on... When I am in motion I hear whistling sound/beeping sound from the engine. Also if I turn off the engine for a few minutes, it will take a long crank before it can start up. When I park overnight, I have to manually pressurize the system to crank. Also have tiny bubbles in the water separator. Please any help with this issue is appreciated

I went to the mechanic today, and he said he suspects an air leak somewhere since the whistling gets louder when I accelerate. And also he suspects I have one or two bad check valves for the long crank because fuel is draining back into the tank. But he'll diagnose more.... Will give an update by saturday

Well I called my mechanic and he said just change the water separator filter and see if it gets better when get on the road again, When I replaced it, it was clogged up with dirt. But the code doesn't stay long keeps on and off.
That was the initial quick fix I did. Changed all filters, which appeared to be clogged, also had my fuel lines flushed but apparently that didn't fix the issue.. mechanic said he'll check my pulleys, all fuel lines, check valves, and turbo before he starts working his way back to my fuel pump and fuel filter housing... Fingers crossed 🤞.. I hope yours isn't as bad as mine

I sent him the video and he said it might be the quantity control valve . I'm afraid I have bad injectors. Watch this guy on RUclips, my truck makes same noise and it was one of the injectors bad. Check the water fuel separation filter first, then fuel filter , then high pressure fuel pump, finally check the injector

you can plug the return lines or injector to determine what is the problem
