Just visited the court today for the first time in my life and it was awe-Inspiring to say the least. Knowing the history within those crumbling walls, seeing the art on the walls and the court itself, and most of all being immersed in the community and culture of the residents, I got chills standing in one of the most iconic streetball courts. It was surreal, I got chills.
They LOVE the place. As I was taking pictures of the court, I was serenaded by people singing karaoke just a few floors above. Despite the poor living conditions, people are so happy and proud to call that place home. And people are truly passionate about the beautiful sport.
If you ever get the chance to visit this icon, certainly do.

Whether a kobe/laker fan or not. From kids who plays basketball on the streets to pro's. Everyone is excited ( not being exaggerated coz i witnessed it myself ). With so many superstars in the nba, he's the only one who often visits our country. And that maybe is one of the reasons he captured the hearts of the filipino's. Neither was i a fan of kobe that time.

It's not about money. The government has already offered to give the residents free housing elsewhere but the residents refused to leave because the relocation site is far from this place. This is prime property on an area that is a coveted place for developers. It's within the city center, that's why residents refuse to leave. It's near their jobs, their schools, the market, the malls. If they agree to relocate, this area will immediately be bought by developers and turned into a condominium or a high rise building.

He creamed everyone on the court too while smoking and wearing slides. I did not get it. Lol. I had Nike everything on. I could see his toe nails and ashy feet. I don't underestimate anymore.
