    • @nubnubbud
      @nubnubbud 2 месяца назад +205

@@Daikon_Micucci the fatality index does 2 things. that species carry out executions based on its regulations, and it lets them know exactly how each person, anywhere, ever, has died.
it is his body count, and due to him being essentially omnipresent and the index being omniscient in that case, it may also include everyone from every timeline he's directly killed.
the killcount would probably be multiversal in scale, even if it didn't include his new timelines making new deaths themselves as killing. We're talking a planet destroyed on a sunday drive, every sunday in every universe he's in, times however many of him have visited that time.

      @@madestmadhatter You are correct.
The one narrating was Son from The Family. The episode where the 10th Doctor had to put his life and genetic makeup into a pocketwatch.
Incidentally, the Doctor, while living his false human life, fell in love with a human woman. He then had to give up his life as a human, which was the happiest he had ever been since before the Time War.
The punishments he gave the family are probably the coldest and cruelest things he has ever done.
He made them all immortal and trapped them in their human bodies.
He took Mother to a blackhole and pushed her into it.
He chained up Father, weighed him down, threw him into the deepest darkest depths of an ocean world.
He trapped Sister in mirrors, leaving her entirely alone in another dimension, nothing more than a ghost you think you saw in some reflection.
And for Son, he paralyzed his body, stuffed him into a scarecrow and left him to watch over some hills in rural nowhere in Britain.
The Doctor has had his dark moments, but that specific time gives me goosebumps still. This is also why Son said his running away was kind. The Doctor was running away so he didn't hurt his enemies.

They can’t keep writing him all dark and grim, every one greaves and everyone eventually moves on from their grief given enough time, and now we’re back to the status quo, the silly Doctor is his magic box, tho the TimeWar saga will always be the best part of the show’s history.

And the worst of it was that even the gender-swapping and her mediocre performance weren't what turned me off. It was that they'd turned The Doctor, the most fearsome being in the universe, into a bumbling idiot.

Correction. Not multi-billion. Multi-trillion. Remembered, The Moment burned the entire Galaxy. Until Day of the Doctor happened and turned into only 1 genocide.
Is there even a word for killing a galaxy? Genocide is for an entire race or ethnicity. Terracide is for killing entire planets. But killing stars and galaxies? No words. Stellacide? Via Lactea-cide?
Well, even without that, the Doctor has quite a few Genocides and Terracides under his belt. That's why he's feared across the entire Universe. That's why Torchwood was made. To be a counter-measure against the Doctor.

@jonathanbenoza8136 depends. You have 2 options deep dive where you start in the very beginning where you get more info on mentioned and sometimes brought back past companions and the oldest enemies, mainly the Master and Deveros. And see the Timelords before the Time War.
Or you can skip to Christopher Eckelsen. The 1st of the new Doctors, who suffers from PTSD from the Time War. We don't see the PTSD mellow out (though it's not always noticeable) until the 13th Doctor.
Sadly, just not enough of the original series is brought into the old to make it a requirement to watch. Though as someone who saw most of the old I feel ridiculous that I couldn't figure out the oldest question of the Doctor Who series.
And just keep in mind that line isn't a straight line in that series, it's more like a ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff.

His companion sure, she had a nasty habit of ignoring whatever he had to say and throwing herself into danger, in a way that didn't even conveniently resolve the plot, was generally to nobody's benefit, and with repetition became impossible to justify. But he was delightfully grim, there was a sadness in everything he did, even his obsession with rock n' roll felt like a coping mechanism, and he had this way of seething with anger that really sticks with you.
