- Bangladesh's new interim leader Muhammad Yunus says he wants to call elections within a few months. His caretaker government is trying to restore order and democracy following weeks of violent protests. The new adminstration includes students who played a key role in ousting the previous prime minister.

If police, traffic or any other civil servant refuse to come back work then ask them to resign and give the opportunity to unemployed young generation. @DWNews Kindly highlight the really heart breaking situation of the Bangladeshi Hindu religious Minority in Bangladesh. Their temples used to be attacked earlier also but now there is rampant lynching of Hindus men and mob rapes of Hindu women. Houses are being burnt and there is complete lawlessness. Please help highlight their situation 🙏🏼

Dr. Yunus should stay in power for sometime and let the students also form their political front to contest election. If elections held just in few months again any of traditional parties will gain power and this movement will be wasted.

Bangladesh has shown the world how you can not manipulate people's mandate . Hasina systematically destroyed four pillars of Democracy -Judiciary, Media, Election commission & Government institutions and tried to become democratically elected Dictator but failed against student unity. Countries like India , Russia are slowly inching towards same phase what Bangladesh has gone through. Long live Democracy.
