He also wryly recounts being booed after throwing out a first pitch at Wrigley Field: “I did bounce it,” he admits.

Props to Nick for going into this vacuous hellhole to spread the gospel of Wendell Berry.
The man is talking about the greatest living american author and the Today show wants to go for the Access Hollywood story.
There's a giant chasm somewhere in the middle of that table.
“Welcome back! We are here with Nick to discuss Wendell Berry...
Nick, I understand you got to throw a pitch at a baseball game. Tell us about that.
Nick, we hear you dabbled in rap. Can you give us some beats?”
nick's laugh gives me the giggles... love it!
America's contradictions in five easy minutes. Nick O lis talking about one of the greatest living philosophers and writers, one who obviously means the world to him, but what does it mean in that plastic setting of fixed grins, cliched thoughts, botoxed faces and fake cheeriness?
IT MEANs getting his word out any way he can. yah sucks thats the way it is but maybe he will reach some of those fixed grin and clinched though people. i know its hard but try not to be so negative, especially with people trying to do good.
Well, that was a let down!
