The literary work 'The Brass Check: A Study of American Journalism (1919)' By Upton Sinclair written over 100 years ago pointed this out back then. Control data, control the people's mentalities.
I don’t know who is controlling the media but journalists should strive to seek the truth. Ultra rich people on the left and right seem to have these daily talking points you hear repeated a few times per day on different networks.
Karen Hunter, I believe the last time I checked, the FCC is still in charge regarding what content is presented before the American people in the country. The American people have to keep in mind that social media private platforms are allowed to run a bit wild under "Section 230" according to the statue of law provided by the federal government in cyberspace.
@track1949 I believe that could be the reason why William Randolph Hearst's granddaughter Patty Hearst was kidnapped and radicalized at 19-years-old, by the terrorist group"The Symbionese Liberation Army back in 1974. It was quite a fiasco between her being involved in robbing banks to her father having to feed the hungry in San Francisco, California. I'm a bit puzzled thinking if Joseph Pulitzer was such a bad guy in society. Why do people keep getting honored with "The Pulitzer Prize" regarding his namesake regarding the world of literature over the years? 🤔 💭
Im coming in not having listen to the entire episode - im working on it. But i recently in the last week joined tik Tok. And i see the hype and the harm. Its been really fascinating What i wish though is for people like you and other content journalist and opinion heads with a spine, somehow could build a new media platform. Or oganize together but underground. Like it would be nice to have yall all bundled together and organize and works almost as a media Co-Op. I dunno i feel that things are shifting and theres too much info coning from every direction but if there was a collective - that allows space for everyone with integrity, it could work. Am i making sense? Like the conservatives have Daily Wire and it appeared diverse, but its the collectivelnism and getting it all in one space that makes it convenient. The have podcast long form short form youtube - i dunno, but I feel like im piecing together the liberal progressive people i respect and have integrity on my own and wish it was a one stop shop. Like example i know Prof Hunter I had it post at the same time everyday and Belle from the Internet, i just wish it was together. This makes no sense but hope someone is picking up what im putting down
Nah. Kanye's explanation lacks nuance. There are many groups with undue influence in our media and politics. AIPAC is certainly one of them, but they don't represent Jewish interests, they represent Israeli interests. And they use that muddled Venn diagram as cover for any criticism, even from fellow Jews. When you start saying stuff like, "The Jews control [whatever], you play right into Israel's game. We need to be very specific with our language when identifying the problems: Jews are not the problem. Zionist colonialism is the problem. AIPAC not being classified as a foreign agent and therefore having the ability to dump millions into elections is a massive problem.
@aswordandaprayer9021, it's the billionaires who control the media that's controlled by the advertising that's the hand that feeds it in the country. For example, it was Rupert Murdoch, who owns "Faux News" that allowed "The Big Lie" (Voter Fraud) to be perpetuated on his news outlet which ended up costing him $787.5 million in a settlement along the way. Republican MAGA supporter Alex Jones, who decided to start a controversy about the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, was a hoax that forced him to sell his podcast "Infowars" along the way. Jeff Bezos who decided not to endorse a candidate that's usually been done by his newspaper "The Washington Post" that pissed off a few of his employees who resigned be decided to bow to political pressure his newspaper has been covering for years, in Washington, D.C.
The role of President Clinton in the Telecom Reform Act of 1996 the single biggest contribution to how the media has consolidated their control over mass information. So, it's been a bipartisan effort, which is why people are moving to independent information to decide and make their own choices. Independent outlets also give more sourced information. 👀 ruclips.net/video/T8Jp21cCSEs/видео.htmlsi=SrM6kLxmIX1eDkpe

Kanye was right!
Hmm! 🤔 💭 I believe the question remains Kanye West was correct by what regarding an issue/issues in the country.
@ Regarding the question of “who controls the media?” Kanye was right!
As well as politicians and also print media.
Including this platform as well 👍🏿
Now, kanye west is a sociopathic lunatic.

Neutral information definitely changes how we view news. Just about all the major news outlets are bias and conditions our conclusions.
