I agree with some others, if you spin the shim to run length ways you would slide the shim and the stone together and not wear down the shim but still get the right amount of metal removed.
Since I wanted to see you actually polishing the parts,(not necessary to show all the time it takes) what you used, and the technique, this wasn't all that helpful. I already know how to disassemble the parts needed to be worked on.
You seem sleepy ... maybe take a nap and then have a cup of coffee and then restart the video. I quit at 2:26 while you were prepping the video, which didn't need to be recorded. So, yeah, get some sleep and start over and do the prepping off-camera. ZZZZZZzzzzzzz
