A Quick Cancer Update: Follow-Up CT Scan at Mayo Clinic

It's that time again... another 3 months flew by and we drove back up to Mayo Clinic for another CT scan.
We are Brian & Jessica, a married couple who started on a life-changing whole food, plant-based weight loss journey back in June 2018. In June 2022, our lives were flipped upside-down when Jessica was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer. We continue to share our adventures (highs, lows, struggles & everything in between) in following a plant-based diet while keeping you up-to-date on Jessica's cancer treatment.

Happy Birthday, Brian! It would have been my Mom's birthday too! She died at age 100. This year she would have been 104. And tomorrow, August 10, is my daughter's birthday. She will be turning the BIG 50! So happy the news is all good! Yippee! Now the final baby planning can proceed full speed ahead. So very happy for you guys! And you both ARE very deserving of all the love ... you are both such kind people ... it is obvious to everyone who watches you.

Thank you for sharing your cancer journey. My beloved wife was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. She had the softest cancer hair. I was her biggest and only advocate even though the chaplain said that I looked like I would not last 18 months. My wife and I were late parents also. My wife was 41 yo. I never saw her happier. At 45 yo, I never looked more tired. Congratulations on the scans because of the unknown. HB Brian!

That’s awesome news! I just want to thank you for sharing your cancer journey. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 3c several months after you. I RUclipsd the subject, and you were the only one I found that was recent. I always check to see where you are in your journey. I’m on a maintenance drug called zejula and just curious if they have mentioned this to you as a preventative of reoccurrence? I wish the best for you, Brian and Elsie as you start your new life as mom and dad.

Hey Krock family! I was diagnosed with brain cancer in February. I'm also at Rochester Mayo. My tumor was removed in March. Waiting for "Cancer Free" notification. I'm doing well. Coming soon! It would be cool to run into you at Mayo. Brian is correct. Life is great! And God is good, all the time! 😊❤

Hey guys! We got Ryan’s scans at Mayo and it sounds similar to your results. His lymph nodes shrank a bit, but they can’t confirm for sure if there’s no cancer left, and are debating removing some of the lymph nodes. No new growth though! Things are improving! It was great to meet you two, and thanks again for the mini Peef! -Anna
