As a Canadian I enjoy the UK Bike culture. We have nothing like that over here. My wife and I are planning a UK trip for next year. Visiting sights in London and Manchester, wife is large Corrie fan so doing the Corrie set tour. Weather on East Coast of Canada still dipping down to 6 Celsius, but have been out few times (Suzuki VL 1500). Great video.
It's like walking into the sweet shop when you were young and you didn't know where to start looking! That GS (with all the toys) was tip top......buy it.🤣😂 I've bought a new R1250GS Trophy after the rear suspension failed on my 2014 model. 9 years uneventful riding until last month. It was a good excuse to chop it in 😁
We were at the MCN Festival Saturday, enjoyed the show. We were watching the BMW rideout return and unfortunately someone dropped a GS. Felt a bit sorry for him with about 100 folks watching. Congratulations on the 10K subs 👍👍
Tapping/knocking noise is probably the lhs timing chain . BMW make a replacement chain tensioner that is approx 6mm longer to compensate for a longer chain on the lhs. About £100 and 15 mins work . Once fitted the lhs just quietly ticks like the rhs.
@@TinsonTour wow, that took some finding on the map. Does look nice though. Would have been nice to get a beer but I’ll be in Vietnam for a few days. Do yourself a favour and DON’T take the A20 from there to Toulouse. Go Figeac, Languepie, Cordes, Cahuzac and Gaillac, get on the A68 to Toulouse there.
Tnx Shaun, I’d grab that bike in a min.. only thing is…. Cost me a fortune to get it back to Emerald Isle 🇮🇪with cross border taxes, VRT Etc etc. she’s some machine.
I enjoyed Peterborough myself, great weekend. Caught sight of you and Faye marching out of the hall when that last band came on Saturday night and cleared half the room 😂. Shame, cos the first band were decent. We stayed till the death, and in fairness they got much better.
Really liked the MCN show this year. Cold on Saturday but glorious on Sunday :) Might've seen you but it was dark in the music venue so wasn't sure if it was you or not! Managed to bag a ride on a Goldwing Bagger, but not my (or the wife's) thing. It was the lack of topbox/armchair for her, and the fact I'm 6ft1 and its not that comfy for tall people in my opinion!
@@TinsonTour I loved the noise and the fact I could throw it about and it just stayed stable. I think with a slightly higher seat I would have been comfier. My other half is in a wheelchair so needs the support of the top box/armchair and it really took it out of her going on the bagger. It was a rare experience as I would never be able to afford one!
Beast of bike that Beemer...I'd have chosen that one aswell ..lottery win...(as if) ...mind you i bought a benelli 502c on the 29th of December 2023 ,and it's a great bike at 61 years of age..its quick enough for me torque wise...free spirit and all that stuff...
When visiting bike shops it’s best to leave your wallet at home, I should know I’ve just swapped my Ducati Scrambler 1100 for a beautiful R1200R which is my first BMW and so far it’s the best bike i’ve ever ridden. Great channel Shaun and Faye, all the best from Australia.
Congrats on the 10K Subs!! 👍 When did they all turn up? 🤣 I find it's best if you fit ear plugs before starting the bike, then you don't get to hear all those 'funny noises'. 👍 I'm guessing you would never be able to live with my single cylinder air cooled 500 Honda from the mid '80's? It kind of sounds like someone has chucked a bag of nails (and spanners) into the engine....but it's only seen the inside of a Honda dealership for a recall once... For a tickover problem... For all that, it did the Pico's in 2018 and 2019 ....well over 3.5K miles 👍
Yeah I'm 53 this year so rode loads of big singles mainly xt's back in the day and tbf that's my fave configuration for solo riding although spoilt with comfort these days 👍🏍
I've been on the 1250rs for the last 2 months and already owned 5 gs's in the past ... for me personally the gs is a better road bike but every1 to their own and tbh if i was going off road I'd choose a lighter bike than a gs

Omg i was proper tempted by it but just imagine if i had 🤣🤣🤣 I'd have never heard the last of it
Good look going to Andorra in June me and a couple of mates passed through there heading for Barcelona to the GP,it was snowing ☃️😀
Hoping for snow although unlikely as its passed now .. was snow banks last time we went it makes for great vids

Wow, just noticed you've hit 10'000 Subs. Congrats Shaun, that's a good reason fir me to 'ave a brew... cheers.

Dunno about your mic problems it picks up your exhaust really well and sounds great, really deep rumble.
I’m off down the local Guzzi shop tomorrow trying NOT to buy a v1000 Mandela S. 😉😉 where’s the biker place near Toulouse you’re stopping at?
It's called La moto , looks great on the pics

Ive been so tempted by the urban gs. What was the reason you chopped it in? or have i missed a vid about it? Keep up the great vids you two. 👍🏻
Loved the urban gs it's an absolute hoot to ride ... long story was a financial thing nothing to do with the bike ...
Thanks mate.
Shaun… how much was da fully loaded GS…
She was very very lovely. What yr is it, any idea of miles.
Price was approx 17k , on 3k miles and think it was a 2020 give or take a year

Yeah tbf we'd been on the ale all day so enough was enough 🤣🤣
Good talking to you when you was in bud 👍 I look forward to seeing you in again (it's jack the other sales exec btw) 👍
Top man well for a Wigan fan u are 🤣🤣
@@TinsonTour I'll take the compliment! 🤣 Well at least I think its one😉🤣

Absolutely agree and considering a benelli 702 at the moment as was so easy and fun to ride
I am very tempted to go in a bike shop and buy a new motorcycle, but my main problem is I don't have any money.
Story of my life pal
@@TinsonTour I wrote it and it makes me laugh.
Wow the extras, on that gs cost more than my bike shaun.
Yeah apparently the fella was absolutely gutted ...
Get a K1600GTL. - stop delaying the inevitable 😂👍😎
Great bike rode 1 a few times as mates got a fully loaded model just not for me
Fair play!! Have a great weekend!!
What a beautiful bike & fully loaded, life’s to short get er bought.
It's an absolute bargain just 8k out of my budget
So was mine but I just bought it anyway 😀

Honestly i shouldn't be let loose but stayed strong this time .... only just 🤣
So we're going to see a new bike in the stable from _"Themchester"_ soon eh?
🤣🤣🤣👍

The last person at Bowkers switch the lights off.
Going in a bike shop and not being tempted is like walking past a pie shop it’s impossible did James Bond not ride one of those bmw customs
Absolutely correct on both pal 👍
That stripped down bike looked like a very, very expensive bill! I hope it's under warranty.
Think he said it's a long term project
I’ll take that Ducati, don’t fancy trying to wobble through the traffic with those panniers on the GS, may as well have a sidecar on😅
Hardly use panniers unless camping or 2up , our stay in the loft for 11months of the year , they make great chairs and tables for camping though
If the handlebars will fit, so will the panniers !!!
man that gs was well nice i wood of being beying it some nice biks ther m8
Yeah bit out of ny range but I'd have it in a heart beat 👍🏍
Yes that’s the problem going to bike shops
Normally spend more than you want To
Shame it’s going I meet my wife there 31 years ago today I did see you there last year I came and said hello if you remember
Yeah fingers crossed it'll be at Lincoln next year
You didn’t say how much the all rigged up 1250 was . Ride safe Mal in Australia
Only found out as i was leaving it was 17k with only 3k on the clock 👍
just get the 1250 lad i would if i had the money lol
To much dosh hence why i got rid of the last 1250 .... need a lotto win
Don’t join the herd, GS s are everywhere. Unless you are going off road, Try the R1250RS instead , way better than the GS on road.
I've been on the 1250rs for the last 2 months and already owned 5 gs's in the past ... for me personally the gs is a better road bike but every1 to their own and tbh if i was going off road I'd choose a lighter bike than a gs
@@TinsonTour Ok Tins like your comments, Make a lot of sense. I don’t like to follow the crowd, even though the GS is BMW best seller in UK.
Not a different bike lol
Not this time but was tempted
I THINK YOU WOULD SUIT A DUCATI DIAVEL.
I rode 1 of the very early 1s absolute weapon 👍🏍
