- With the new season just around the corner... It was time to drop a couple groats on some new parts for the little Santa Cruz 5010. And some changes that were needed for the 2024 season... And in this video... We take a look at the bits and pieces I have chosen and why... From Brakes, to grips... Wheels to tires... So let's get it dpone shall we...

A couple new things going onto the little big bike for 2024!! And a big thanx to König Wheels for coming on board this year. Appreciate it loads!! :D
Santa Cruz on Coil shox is so good supple and supportive at the same time.
Would love to try this littel 5010 out on a coil... MAy have to make the jump to it at some point... :D
Konig has found the right guy for the job. Super jealous of the killer setup on the rest of the bike Phil.
Yeah Sage... First rides on the wheels and they're NOICE mate... Been really stoked on them...
I didn't really wanna change anything from stock for a while so I could get a good sense of the bike as it comes from Santa Cruz... But now that I've had it for a good while, it was time to shift it into a more "comfortable" set-up... The tasty Wheels are a real nice bonus though! :D

Cheers Christoph... And yes... They do look the business... And I am a BIG fan of a GOOD cheap part, so I too am very interested to see how they perform... I'll deffo pass the odd comment in the videos once they're on. But wanna give them a good amount of time on the bike before I do a full review...

Anyway, great video! Really nice watching this, and a cool change once again from all the POV riding footage that makes up most of the videos usually. Really like all the small pop ups you have been putting in recently, haha! Had not realized you got new brakes as well... you did not have them on yet last week right? Btw what is the make, did not catch that - that warning seems rather weird tbh! Also, were the SRAM ones you had Guide or Code?
Hmmm, this got me thinking... with the positive feedback I got for my "Jay Checks Stuff" videos, maybe I too should do something like this once in a while... buuut so much effort/time, plus it would probably be pretty bad quality, and above all I thiiiink it would just get rather ridiculous quite quickly...😁 not sure I could do a "serious" non-POV-footage video very well... 🤣

@@JayRidesTrails I haven-'t fit them yet... Time has been a bit iffy lately. And I was waiting on parts.... Which have arrived. They're Pro e4... They're a budget set, but look pretty schweet. So gonna give them a whirl and see how they go... I'll get them done this week though...
We also need to ding the crap outta party corner... I'll send you the deets... My "party crew" ist schon informiert... We just need to iron out a date... Hahaha
