Be safe Brother! I live 40 miles west of Savannah. Didn't expect Helene to hit us as hard. Hurricanes are very unpredictable. P.S. we are all safe the broken power poles is why power was out for a week here.

I returned to my house in Port Charlotte after Charley, it was waterfront near harbor blvd. That was 15 days with no power afterwards and a flooded mess of a house but that's the Floridian life. Was single at the time so was super easy to just bail to palm beach to hang out but I remember returning to downed trees driving back on hwy 74 (thah backroads!)

Hi Kevin, fellow Floridian and subscriber here, I just got a new to me Jeep Cherokee, 2 door 4x4 w/ 5 speed manual. I will be making it into an overlanding vehicle. I've been 6 years fulltime overlanding across America with my Ford van overland camper, it isnt a 4x4 so I got the Jeep. Jeep has Old Man Emu lift, frame strengthening kit, steering box support, all the goodies. I'll be e-mailing you to meet up sometime in the near future.

Don’t know exactly where you’re at in Lakeland but they’re talking about a serious storm surge. Hope all is well, bud.
The storm surge won’t bother me. But potentially 18” of rain might cause some issues. Winds up to 125mph.
Other than an EMP, it looks like you have your bases covered.
