@@lepureur4657 Right??? I was also looking for this comment lol. Maybe someone can enlighten me. Or maybe he has changed the polyphony to 1 for the final mix of the track. Who knows!
@@inspir.edmusic maybe he cares about the actual sound and nothing else, the thing is he'd have to use a mid/side high pass filter to get rid of it, sounds like too much work when you could just keep it mono, carefully create a wider sound in the mids and high frequencies afterwards, use a bit of reverb with a mid/side filter as well i don't know, if you you're really going for that "stereo kick"
Lots of people in the industry get stuff like that for free - especially a guy who might stream his production. I'm not saying it WAS the case, but they want these sounds being used and getting out so that people *not* on their industry lists go and buy them. This would be an example of the perfect endorsement for that market.
Lets compress the transient of a kick get it all nice and dialed in and then put a transient shaper on it get that nice and dialed in, and then let's change the transient or the kick drum alll together until satisfied and boom deadmau5 dance. Honestly I would turn that sustain on the transient shaper down a bit more. It's giving it this boxy sound.
like what im hearing Joel. I had a question where do you post your music when you are looking for vocals for a song? I saw the video of when you found the vocals for Chris James and your song The Veldt. Where did Mr. James find your post looking for vocals submissions ?
For me, Deadmau5 was the best music to put on right before blasting off on a shot of cocaine. I regret doing this, however, because I can't listen to a lot of songs without having _INTENSE_ cravings nowadays, and that isn't good for my wallet, well-being, or my overall life. :(
Alexander Fellermann that’s the truth. I saw olllld interview with them where they said they spent several days just designing one horn stab. Like damn.
deadmau5 "kicks are jus a transient" also deadmau5:
I love how he is using Live and Serum; easy to follow along & understand what's going on... I recently got both and am having a blast with them xD
I like Ableton, but Reason is perfect for me personally. :)
I use Reaper, you can learn something from anyone using any DAW really, they're all fundamentally the same.
live and serum are great but I use lmms and vital
Love the subscription sound at 01:55
He ended up not using this kick.
respectfully - thankfully.
He used it as a layer tho.
He did, he just added a lot to it. You can hear it in the final song.
interesting that he's using 4 voices in serum for the sub bass element of his kick! Most people would discourage having stereo sub bass.
Was looking for this comment, I dont understand why he would do that

Because keeping your sub in mono is a myth
@@Mopark25It's not a myth

hahaha
just found this mini-series, cant wait to sit down with my headphones and watch it all. thanks for the share!
I have a hard time believing that Joel bought ALL those Vengeance packs :P
+Zxios cuz he can't afford them?

I don't.. Seen his studio? He can afford it.
he can probably buy vengeance itself

Quite literally a genius making music in front of our eyes
nice kick man :))
I love how he has all this amazing equipment behind him and he never uses it :(
He does tho
this kick was over-processed as hell.
It was narely a kick lmao just a shitty click with a bit of body, the end result sounds drastically different
Every time i watch Joels live streams it seems almost like he knows what he is doing...
He doesnt, thats the cool part...
What do you mean
@@StellardroneMusic That's me as well. XD
@@StellardroneMusic it's the best technique imo
So you don’t even have to use a pitch envelope when making a kick? Just have a transient and let the tone just ring out?
there are no rules

He didnt look for them, Chris just tweeted him.
+aquamentum Chris tweeted them...everybody made a bunch of noise about it and he noticed.
Imaginary friend 2 remix
That kick is so bad tho
not bad at all but it doesnt fit this type of music
it could be easily used in lofi hiphop after chopping and EQing
actually, it sucks
i just wanted to feel that this guy didnt spent so many years and ended up with nothing
might be why he didn't use it... xD
It could be tweaked and used as a kind of abstract kick, but it really would have sounded terrible in a song like this.
its just the front of the kick, "is the Crack". He obviously used another kick on top of that side chained crack to make the Kick sound punchier.

Is that unison… on a sub?
wtf that windows
it's Windows 7 on performance mode
@@アカシア-w7b Props to you for responding to everyone saying this ;)
Are this 4ss claps? LOL
does his OS look like windows 98 for fun or is there some practical reason
I believe it's windows 7 on performance mode, basicly it's faster because it doesn't focus on looking good
No way bro classic mode all the way. Windows 10 still out performs windows 7 even if it’s in performance mode whatever that is.
Those recordings have only the right channel?
No, you can see they’re stereo
Amazing how he made a kick out of nothing. What a legend
+Trash right!!!
what are you complaining about?
okay man
When Noisia are making Kicks it's getting legendary.

So how many of those plugins are pirated?
stfu

How fullscreen editor, by klicking his midi track?
You can resize the midi editor.
Stereo kick...?
this guy is not very good at making music
Reade Wildman you sure about that buddy?
Ah, yes, tell us more about how you became a multimillionaire through your musical genius
So how come he's one of the biggest EDM producers in history? Dumba$$.
Wow your a idiot if you think he makes bad music
