See, this just proves you don't need a fancy set, a super fancy high budget, or a super fancy costume department.
Just some half decent actors, and an EXCELLENT, story.

Wish my health would let me live long enough to travel in space. Maybe the new medicine that I've been reading about that if it does what they think it might do it can reverse arteriosclerosis, and versions of it may even grow new organs. Human clinical trials start in 2 years and I hope I live long enough to be a volunteer.

So many people donated time here and there that had to be coordinated, in addition to the innumerable hours of post-production work on the effects, soundtrack, and all the other things that go into making a film, done for free on a very limited budget. I would say everyone did a great job, the actors that gave their time did a wonderful job and taking all those pieces and putting them together while also continuing to live a normal life outside of doing just this one project is a pretty incredible achievement! Everyone deserves to be proud of their involvement in this project!

Love how the story is shaping up in the first part, and particularly got a kick out of the surprise guest! Please send my regards to him for a job well done.

Just to play devils advocate. But the Enterprise computer is fairly sophisticated. She had at that time identified it as an enemy vessel and locked weapons on it. Her ordering the wrong array to be fired may have been auto corrected. sort of like ... command imperative fire hostile vessel dorsal phaser array, error array out of alignment, correcting, firing ventral phaser array....

I think that the real Star Trek franchise now lives on in fan films rather than official shows. It used to be a thought-provoking optimistic sci-fi, not a political propaganda platform or a ferengi production. Fanfilms stayed true to the original Star Trek ideas. This is the official Star Trek to me.

One plot note that I really appreciate... everyone (except Munro!) seems to readily accept the possibility of time travel/temporal divergence. With all the weird stuff that Starfleet vessels have encountered, it should be just that easy to say, "yeah... looks like we might have just traveled through time." I always found it a bit unusual when any Starfleet crewman couldn't easily believe the situation they found themselves in.

The mess hall is custom to each ship, in the Belerophon's mess hall was used as a diplomatic reception room and such. Just like for Janeways Intrepid the captain of the USS Mako likes to have a more personal touch and opened up his dining room to the crew and open for it to be modified. The use of that room is at the descression of the crew and Munro ended up with something similar to Voyager :)

If there was danger of a warp core breach, shouldn't the ships be as far apart as possible while remaining in transporter range, as opposed to pulling up so close together? What reason would there be to pull so close together anyway? It seems unnecessarily risky to be closer than a few ship-lengths apart.
