+ProtoMario nah it's just that when i scrolled down to see the vids most of 'em were to do with other things I don't wanna be rude but i subscribed to u for the theories because i thought your insight was interesting. By i don't watch any other of your vids. I'll see what they're about 👍👍👍
Hey Proto! I asked before if you could do a Theory about Pokémon and how they lay so many eggs in a short amount of time (About 20 Eggs in an hour without Oval Charm and about 30 With Oval Charm, Depending on the Pokémon you're Breeding). I'd like to see what you think about it. I thought about it again cause I was Breeding Growlithe last night.
Great video :). Here's a theory; if Parasect is nothing but a zombie mushroom how can it be possible for it to understand and take orders from its trainer?
Proootoooo. Theory suggestion, that I won't claim I "came up with" cause I think the thought has been thrown around, but never really got out there like this and this detailed. It also fits for your Halloween month! Plus I'd just love your thoughts on the theory itself. We allllll know Blue/Green/Gary/Asshat's Raticate story(I call him the original Japanese based Green), might be the most popular creepy pasta theory for Pokemon out there...But what after that? He just vows to take revenge on Red? No...much more to it. Upon Raticate's death aboard the S.S. Anne, Green Travels to Lavender Town and the Pokemon Tower to lay him to rest...Here's one thing though, at the time he did this, Team Rocket had taken over the tower, not letting anyone tend or visit the graves. How was he able to not only be in there without Rocket retaliation, almost at the top floor even. Here's how. Before the battle, as Green lays his Pokemon to rest, he's approached by Team Rocket, and proposed a position; Green in his grief of having just lost a Pokemon he cared for takes up the offer and joins Team Rocket!!! Why else would he fight you instead of trying to help rid the tower he just laid his friend to rest in, of the bad guys breaking gravestones and kidnapping known town-folk.. Why is the next time you see him, he is in the room RIGHT BEFORE Giovanni, among literally a Rocket Hideout, with no one trying to fight him, and once again fighting you and walking away afterwards...He's part of Team Rocket. Yeah he still wants to be a Champion so he does end up in the Indigo League with you, as the final fight...but then what did he do after loosing his Championship? Lets move over to Gen 2 and the tales of Gold...once you have access to Kanto, tell me, who exactly took over Giovanni's Gym after Red's battle that caused him to 'shut down' Team Rocket, which we all know is still out there.........Green. Good bit of evidence here...Green is Team Rocket.
I love Frosslass so much. I already knew about her story but to hear it from you is awesome. Can you do the same for Mawile because is also based on a japanese legend? Also Mawile, Frosslass, and Glaceon are my top 3 favorite pokemon.
Proto, you should do a theory about how real animals have appeared in the Pokémon anime and card game. For example, there is a Psyduck card where it is looking into a pond, and a non-Pokémon fish jumps out of the water.
Nice (or should I say ICE), I thought something was up when I saw Yui Jyorou in SMT:DS. I love Pokemon that are heavily based off mythological creatures or spirits!
+Greg White I know some japanese's legend / myth because of anime. But I just google the rest to learn more. Like example, with Frosslass and Mizore from Rosario Vampire made me to look up Yuki Ona. There I learn about Mawile story later on.
i have a random theory/predictions: may is max's sis.their name differs with the letters X and Y. XY are the main game of gen 6, the same gen when ruby/sapphire was remaked. So my theory is that the gen they remake gen 6 (let's say gen 8). So maybe, in gen 8 the main games will feature max. But that's just a theory, a gameTHEO- no, no -RY! (i had to)
I remember I watched this channel but I didn't have a channel back then so utube fricken lost the channel from m data and now here I am finding the channel
Hey Proto I have theory to propose, what if Umbreon and Espeon are the first evolutions of Eevee and young from these pokemon eventually became the other eeveelutions
Froslass is a cool Pokemon. Though now with Mega-Glalie... it just seems right that she get a Mega too, much like how Gallade got a Mega in ORAS after Gardevoir got a Mega in XY. Also liking the spooky theories, I almost forgot that Halloween is at the end of this month. I don't quite think evolving Snorunt is killing it though. In fact, the fact that Froslass evolves from Snorunt is the only thing going against this theory. Otherwise, all of those similarities really are creepy. I wonder if there's a similar story behind Glalie? I always though it looked a bit freaky.
DISCLAIMER - this theory is kinda wild and just a theory. it has no evidence and just tries to make a global sense by specting analogies between certain things well, 1 theory could be froslass came first and snorunt came second. if you read remember kadabras pokedex entry it says: a boy with psychic powers woke up and found himself turned into a kadabra or something like that. if the pokedex entry is true, then this would mean kadabra existed before abra. maybe it is somewhat similar here. froslass came from a woman dying in a snowstorm, and the "children" she gave birth to as froslass are snorunt. there are some open spots to theorize further then: lets take this idea and say: froslass came first and snorunt are her children. her children can be either male or female, which makes sense since froslass is in the furthest part still somewhat humanish, and it is not abnormal that a woman gives birth to a son. the somewhat fishy part to theorize on is: why are snorunt alive when froslass is dead ? or how does that work out. if we use our common world understanding by saying ghost = dead and non-ghost = alive. (could be an interesting theory for proto to think about). lets assume it is like this as first approach. then this would mean - snorunt alive, froslass dead => dawnstone kills female snorunt to become froslass on first glance. male snorunt and female snorunt without a dawnstone-exposure adapt over the time and the evolution into glalie is a result of this. on another look you can consider this though: when you take a closer look on the dawnstone you will notice the dawnstone only works on 2 pokemon - a male kirlia and a female snorunt. we leave the theory froslass came first and snorunt came second. i am kinda try to consider the similarities between the evolution processes. my proposal is: the dawnstone works for the pokemon like a time machine backwards or "backwards evolution" if you want so, or as some "hormone". if we look at gallade it s pokedex entry states it is a master of courtesy and swordsmanship, which were traits extremely highly seen in the middle age. over time the knighthood went down and those traits are getting lost over time ( i assume some sort of darwinian approach of evolution here). in male kirlias these "unused old instinct genes" still exist, and the dawn stone brings them to the surface. if you dont like this time travel theory, the dawnstone activates some "masculinity hormones" in male kirlia which cause the evolution from male kirlia into froslass. actually if you do a similar approach with snorunt and froslass it somewhat makes sense. froslass was first, and back in the time, the froslasses regained a living status by their spirit taking over a physical object, which became the body for their soul. the froslass spirit exists inside the shell of a snorunt. by evolving snorunt into glalie you make the shell harden out and prevent the freeing of the spirit by this. by exposing with a dawnstone, you either make the time travel approach so the snorunt travels back in time to where it was before it took possesion of the object, or the dawnstone causes some "hormones", which only the female snorunts seem to possess to activate, which allows the snorunt to break the shell and return to her former self.
I think that this theory is true because of the fact that the similarities are there and pokemon often had a reference to the real world or japanese mythology.
Hey I actually have a theory. I'm not sure HOW strong it is, because there's only one thing that I've found to support it (the inspiration for the theory). But, I've always been wondering since X/Y's release if the player's mother actually killed the player's father, even if its by accident. Because when you talk to her a few times, she talks about how during the end of a rhydon race she couldn't stop the rhyhorn and it rammed into the father, sending him flying. Just food for thought.
+EbonRabbit (Player's Name) checked the PC his/her *dad* gave him/her. Grace: A memory from when I was a Rhyhorn racer? There was a time I couldn't stop at the finish line. Your dad was waiting there, and I sent him flying *...* Game Informer Interviewer: Historically, your trainer's father has been absent, but in Pokémon X&Y your father apparently purchased the computer that's in your room for you. What is your father up to? And where are the fathers of the previous games? Junichi Masuda: Wherever could they be? *They're probably off working somewhere, or maybe just having Pokémon battles? (laughs) It's apparent that they are at least making enough money to buy the player's character a computer!* (laughs) --- Interpret all of these however you wish, I personally believe the story was meant to be comedic as opposed to tragic, but the ellipse at the end does make me wonder.
Hmm I've got a theory request for you(it's not halloween related...but), Satoshi Tajeri(Creator of Pokemon)and Akira Toriyama(Creator of DBZ) have been secretly working together, look at mewtwo, it has 3/4(4 if you include Mew) forms just like frieza, and Zygarde has a larval form, imperfect form(10%), semi-perfect form(50%), and perfect form(100%), and who knows it could be backed up even more when the seventh generation comes out, also have you noticed the next game's title is Pokemon Z....

Froslass is my favorite ice type... I have one in PokemonY .... And I'm the one who gave the Snorunt the dawn stone... But my froslass has full affection with me
I wouldn't refer to this as a theory. Theory requires speculation. It is obvious that Froslass is based on Yuki-Onna, there is no doubt about that. That being said, you presented the legend well, good good.
I've thought of this theory at work today: Is everyone in the WHOLE pokemon universe immortal cause I think jessie, james and meowth should be dead by the number of times being shocked by ash's pikachu and ash actually having to be treated for being burned by charizard and for that matter the ground team rocket blows up to blast off doesn't even show a hole at all.
Hey, Proto! I heard that the original plotline of Pokemon XD was supposed to be about Wes taking over the world. Could you do a theory about the true morality of Wes?
But Proto, you could get more than one frosslass, which means its not directly connected to that girl that died in a snow storm, and woulden't that make you a serieal killer?
I could imagine a trainer finding himself unable to control frosslass and thus, released releasing her to the wild.
I'm so happy you're doing theories more often
+Muzhakkir Ali (Blazemuzy) I never stopped doing them, it's every tue and thur.
+ProtoMario nah it's just that when i scrolled down to see the vids most of 'em were to do with other things
I don't wanna be rude but i subscribed to u for the theories because i thought your insight was interesting. By i don't watch any other of your vids. I'll see what they're about 👍👍👍
+Muzhakkir Ali (Blazemuzy). I meant to say but
I know a bunch of people subscribe to me for theories alone
+ProtoMario yeah same for me but I'm gonna see your other vids next time 👌👌👌
Btw loved your samus transgender theory
Hey Proto! BUT PROTO, the woman I love is a Froslass! Are you saying I can never kiss her? XD
if she loves you back I'm pretty sure it'd just be like like kissing an ice sculpture. worst case scenario, a dry ice sculpture.
polarknight 537 I was referring to when he said that they kiss to drain the life force of a person XD
+Jake Sparda I know, the answer is probably not, unless it's nonconsensual.
polarknight 537 Fair enough :3
Srry butt no
Great video :). Here's a theory; if Parasect is nothing but a zombie mushroom how can it be possible for it to understand and take orders from its trainer?
This was definitely the creepiest video you have done this month. I loved it, and I have a new nickname for Frostlass.
+Darin Anderson well give him the benefit of the doubt, it IS October after all
Froslass = Yuki Onna
Mawile = Futakuchi Onna
??? = Kuchisake Onna
WHERE IS MY SLIT MOUTH WOMAN!!
+ssj99lucario maybe next gen my friend, maybe next gen
Gaming Master Anthony Is it crazy for me tho think she's cute?
***** not if you want a slit mouth as well.
Gaming Master Anthony Oh at least i won't get killed. Dibs by the way
***** son of a...... fine.
"Winter is coming" - Proto stark 2015
Hahah great theory Proto! This one was really entertaining, going to share it with my friends! :D
Proto for Halloween talk about when gengar and hunter ripped out ash's soul
Theory idea for after Halloween "how intelligent are Pokemon?"
... Dang, they sure were spot on in making Frosslass match mythology.
I love Froslass, it's my favorite Pokemon! Nice job Proto!!! Loved this theory!
Pretty cool theory :D I'm really liking these Halloween spooky theory's
There are more likes than views. Now that's what I call determination.

I will never even think about finding a frosslass ever again. im scared now
I'd love to snuggle up against a nice, warm Charizard on cold nights.

Omg Proto
Imagine if you used a Dawn Stone on a snowrunt with it having full hearts in Pokemon Anime
that would be horrible
Finally a video about Froslass
Maybe they just really thought Froslass through. People do tend to take these Pokemon designs for granted, but they're actually really brilliant
Nice (or should I say ICE), I thought something was up when I saw Yui Jyorou in SMT:DS. I love Pokemon that are heavily based off mythological creatures or spirits!

me
There is no prob want to have more knowlege about other cultures its very good actualy
NOT ME
+ProtoMario that woman who died on the icy mountain might have been Miyamoto, Jessie's Mother
proto i enjoyed this so much i always loved japanese folklore
i have a random theory/predictions: may is max's sis.their name differs with the letters X and Y. XY are the main game of gen 6, the same gen when ruby/sapphire was remaked. Well max was only in the anime not the games
You should make a playlist for these Pokemon with backgrounds! 😄
and Samurott is a water unicorn... oh wait..
Lol
Mainline games to see a wild Froslass would require doing those pokemon hacks/nuzlokes/randomizers...but thats it really.

I love the scary edition thank you proto
I really liked this video. One of your best. Good job I really believe it
this was an awesome theory in my opinion
I think that this theory is true because of the fact that the similarities are there and pokemon often had a reference to the real world or japanese mythology.
This scared the hell out of me

At least ONE explanation why the player has no Father XD (Except Gen 3)
+EbonRabbit (Player's Name) checked the PC his/her *dad* gave him/her.
Grace: A memory from when I was a Rhyhorn racer? There was a time I couldn't stop at the finish line. Your dad was waiting there, and I sent him flying *...*
Game Informer Interviewer: Historically, your trainer's father has been absent, but in Pokémon X&Y your father apparently purchased the computer that's in your room for you. What is your father up to? And where are the fathers of the previous games?
Junichi Masuda: Wherever could they be? *They're probably off working somewhere, or maybe just having Pokémon battles? (laughs) It's apparent that they are at least making enough money to buy the player's character a computer!* (laughs)

Interpret all of these however you wish, I personally believe the story was meant to be comedic as opposed to tragic, but the ellipse at the end does make me wonder.
GPS231
Yeah, I think the same thing. But thinking about it freaks me out. xD
I got one. Are there invasive species Pokemon? Think about the hazards of having a bunch of fire types taking over a forest.
I LOVE THIS! Frosslass is my favorite pokemon and I love and believe this theory
Same. I always have one on my teams
You should've mentioned what happened to Scizor in Mystery Dungeon (Sinnoh).
Froslass is my all time favorite Pokemon :)
The Pokemon theory I have is that glalie is the pumpkin head of the headless horseman
Hey, speaking of wild Pokemon, does anyone wonder why some Pokemon are listed in the Pokedex for there specific region but in some cases can't be caught there in abundance? Like Eevee for example. You can't catch one normally in Kanto where it originated, yet you can catch it in Hoenn (through Dexnav albeit still wild), Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos as a wild Pokemon and interestingly enough two of those four regions doesn't contribute an Evolution to Eevee. Or even Zorua first appearing in Unova where you can only find one Zoroark in Unova due to an event, Zorua were always gifts and in Kalos they are capable of being caught.
I find it funny because while watching this (I was also watching MeTV) I looked up and a commercial for The Twilight Zone came on. Coincidence, I think not!
Hey Proto, I had a though during one of your videos but what if the same energy used in the ultimate weapon was the same natural energy used to awaken Groudon and Kyogre in their primal forms? And what if Xerneas and Yveltal roaming the regions releasing and absorbing similar energies caused Fairy Types as well as Steel and Dark types (and the ??? type temporarily) to come into existence?
Hey Proto, would you be able to discuss the existence or non-existence of real-life animals in the Pokemon world? There have been references to real animals scattered throughout the anime (Pidgeotto ate a worm before Ash caught it; Fish were seen in a tank at the Cerulean Gym), as well as the games (Mentions of insects in several Pokedex entries, as well as Indian Elephants being mentioned). Yet, despite this, real-life animals are only very rarely seen or mentioned. I'm curious to see what you have to say on the subject, as well as how animals and pokemon co-exist as part of an ecosystem. Thanks!
jynx was also based on yuki ona
yuki onnas are my favort japanese demon it always had this weird
charm
Uhm... Jynx is based on a different legend
Saransh Khanna its name is like baba right or something
yama-uba
Sounds nice. I must complete the Pokedex so I will take any repercussions for killing a Pokemon.
And this is why I always keep my frosslass in the PC if I have one in the game! 😰
There is no wild Froslasses
Pokemon Sw&Sh: hold my Dawn stone
Just to cover the base (I don't consider these games cannon). Frostlass is a wild encounter in the side games (crystal crossing in Mystery Dungeon as an example).
However, in the mainline games, you are indeed correct you must evolve (sacrifice?) a snowrunt to get a frostlass.
+Phil Thomas Maybe some of the snorunts ran into Dawn stones, they wondered where they came from and eventually Poke science discovered the connection?
EagleZtoTheGrave While possible, this gives me two more questions:
1) Where are humans getting Dawn Stones?
2) Why aren't snowrunts still running into them, before humans are able to gather them in the main line games?
sagely Demonologist :P i mention that in my original comment, my question was more geared towards the main-line games.
sagely Demonologist
I would wager a guess that there is more then just 10 year olds looking for these pokemon...and more individuals who are otherwise motivated (let us just leave it at that). Leaving more then just your pokedex as a source of information on wild pokemon,
sagely Demonologist :P That's the point.
I.E. they would know where to look, and be able to relate this info to our player.
Pretty interesting theory!
SWALOT!!! "Oh god help me im an inncent swallot"!
Warm my heart!!!
frosslass is my favourite ghost and ice type its the most ice type i used in gen 4 5 & 6 & oras
I been knew about FRoslass had a dark past.
SO..Frosslass would be a perfect pokemon for Alucard. Interesting....
The puns they hurt! Good video though
Proto what's the difference between ghost and ghost Pokemon. Are ghost Pokemon spirits of the undead, or living creatures with ghost-like abilities
I have a Froslass... IM SORRY, FROSLASS!!!!!!
Froslass is my favorite ice type... I have one in PokemonY .... And I'm the one who gave the Snorunt the dawn stone... But my froslass has full affection with me
thanks proto, thanks for that "next woman you kiss could kill you coment" not kissing anyone else ever again now
Oh sure, THAT'S the reason.
(I kid, I kid)
me: I wanna be frosslass too!
*takes helicopter n flies till north*
But that Pokemon is adorable! :c
What the? How does this video have only 97 views...and 418 likes and 1 dislike?
*RUclips*
The RUclips view counter is wonderful
But Proto! Frosslass is one of my favorite Pokemon
pokemon theory certain legendary can breed ex). In pokemon movie heroes it states that Latios and latias had a father
you've been pokemon rap taged
This is awesome, what song is that in the background?
there are many frosslass (of course), so many womans died on mountain and reborned as frosslass? creeepy *-*
Damn thats intense
GEEZ THATS A LOTTA POKEMON FOR ONE POKEBALL!!!
indeed Winter is coming :3
I wouldn't refer to this as a theory. Theory requires speculation. It is obvious that Froslass is based on Yuki-Onna, there is no doubt about that. That being said, you presented the legend well, good good.
Frolass has really bad defense, one crunch she's fainted
Hey Proto! I have an idea for a theory. Do u think it's possible that Ritchie from the anime could be one of the two unknown Pallet Town trainers?
Flareon use flamethrower! Does that warm you up?
Hey I got a theory maybe The Narrator is Ash's dad. He died and went to heaven just before Ash started his journey now he's looking down on them.
...frosslass is still one of my favorite pokemon
If it makes you feel any better, I had one friend say that Jynx is based on Yama-Uba... which kind of makes sense, but I don't think she eats kids??
I've thought of this theory at work today: Is everyone in the WHOLE pokemon universe immortal cause I think jessie, james and meowth should be dead by the number of times being shocked by ash's pikachu and ash actually having to be treated for being burned by charizard and for that matter the ground team rocket blows up to blast off doesn't even show a hole at all.
Hey, Proto! I heard that the original plotline of Pokemon XD was supposed to be about Wes taking over the world. Could you do a theory about the true morality of Wes?
huh never thought of that
awesome theory. love your videos.
ghost drive people insane i was born insane
No! BAD TOUCH! AYA! BAD TOUCH!
Get the reference?
The grudge stole this concept of yoki Ono
But Proto, you could get more than one frosslass, which means its not directly connected to that girl that died in a snow storm, and woulden't that make you a serieal killer?
That's how they got the idea at least
Good theory
maybe this is why they will probably never give FROSLASS a mega evolution...
Same as Gourgeist I presume?
I do hope you will rap Proto, Riiiight?
hmm. then that means could it be that when she evolves to gleceio is her anger manifesting?
winter is coming
