I'm a student and im working on a project using this engine. Do we need to drill the governer hole if we are going to use an over head cover like you are?
Yes. I say at 01:49 that you need to clean out all the swarf from the engine. I didn't show this process as i was trying to reduce the overall length of the video and thought it would have been fairly obvious that it needed to be cleaned out! Also, not everyone would have had the facilities i had to clean it out so there was no point showing this process as everyone would have different methods. To make it easier i recommend trying to catch most of the swarf in a cloth placed inside the cylinder block. This also helps to keep it away from the crank bearing in the block.
@@ProkartEngineParts i want to use some sort of mikuni carb for my gx 160 but i dont know what mm to get and i dont want to just order i guesed because the are quite expensive
Sorry Govna, You truly missed the mark with this video. First you're gonna put the fitting in the block. Then you're gonna use the valve cover. You're all over the place mate. Noble try.
Brilliant thank you. Cant wait for more videos. Carb tuning/adjustment hopefully will be in one of the videos.
great info cheers

Can you get to big pulse pump because I got the only one they had now leaks gas everywhere
My hole drilled out but just blows air out and don't suck fuel through the system
Did you have to clean the inside of the engine after drilling that hole? Wouldn’t it all go into the engine?

What mm carb are you going to use
We are going to be using a GX390 carb fitted to the engine using a manifold.
