He'll prob just be a backup qb at best. I say he'll be a 6th rounder.
A 7th Rounder and 16 Years Later The Best Of All Time
+Anonymous Truth Seeker 17
5 time superbowl champion and 4 time superbowl MVP :)
It was a joke, smh 😒
It surprises me how Brady slipped through the cracks and was drafted low. I think he was a 5th rounder? Every team had a chance to draft him. So no one can complain about it. This is a good video. Brady was pretty damn good in college. He made some nice throws. Michigan was a good team back then with Brady. So much for NFL scouting. They don't know what they're doing half the time either. That's probably why so many teams go years without making the playoffs. Gotta know how to draft and put together a team. If it were me I'm going to draft the best players that I can get my hands on. This will probably never happen again, no player as good as Brady was in college will ever get taken in the 5th round. He still looks like Brady when you watch his college highlights. It's Brady for sure, the best quarterback to ever play the game of football.
Maybe it’s hindsight or just me but he had elite skills even then. Idk how he was so overlooked.
His 40 yard dash 💀
It's a hindsight thing. His college stats were not good at all, especially playing for a team like Michigan. He was overlooked for a reason, he just is insanely competitive and works hard it seems
@@Sour129 but speed isn't every thing tho lol he makes up for it on other aspects
He wasn't even the best player in Michigan.
He also had a "dad bod" coming out of college, literally no muscle.
He looked like he would snap if a NFL D linemen looked at him hard.
THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME NO QUESTION. GONNA NAME MY KID AFTER HIM.
what
You’re gonna name your kid, goat?
I'm here in 2019 just letting you guys know that Brady is still killing and going for another Super Bowl.
Rings on both hands baby
Tell me about it
2021*
Ye and he did it again.
@@coria6231 with a different team in his first season . Win the superbowl on their own field for the first time in nfl history. As a bucs fan im glad we got Tom Brady 🐐
This guy looks great I think He will win 6 Super Bowls with the patriots and 1 with the buccaneers
That’s a bold prediction
How so many teams looked at his ability to throw people open especially in the red zone and passed on him is baffling
I guess most scouts didn't know or cared enough to look at his tape
This sentence doesn’t even make sense, what are you trying to say ?
@@VENENOSEASON basically says he’s good at finding and throwing to the open man. Nothing flashy about him but he gets the job done.
@@microwavedeggs2733 thanks
@@microwavedeggs2733 yeah that's not what it says lmao. It says he throws people open i.e. he places the ball where only his receiver can get it. Which is impressive because that's why most guys fail at the pro level because they can only throw to open people, like what you said
Is it a suprise a guy who was known for high pressure comebacks in college would lead game winning drives in all his SB wins?
Under pressure to perform so he doesn't lose his job.
Under pressure so his team wins games when he comes in and they're already down points.
28-3 doesn't sound so crazy anymore.
Wrong, no game winning drive against the Chiefs.
@@jamesr2547 this was posted 4 years ago so he wasn’t wrong 😂
@@jamesr2547didn’t age well 😂
@@JakeDuffy-q2e It is a joke. He didn't need to lead a game winning drive against the Chiefs because they were 3 scores up. The comment was made after that game, genius.
Best QB IQ and most accurate arm in the game. Makes up for his lack of mobility and evasiveness.
Marino
Tom Brady knows defense more than defense knows defense.
🤣YES!!!
Guy was born to play.
Same Great Arm Goat
This man has seven rings goat 🐐
Looking back at it in 2021.. he had “IT”. Why didn’t y’all see that 🤪
Been hitting that TE cross over probably since peewee
I love Boston.....I visit all the time. I'm from Michigan, some will give me shit until I let them know I'm from Ann Arbor and there's this underline respect because many Michigan residents were rooting for Brady when he was marching down the field at the big house.

The absolute best ever! I cannot be convinced otherwise!
Not the biggest Michigan fan however Brady has come a long way from where he started.
Forever the greatest of all time. 1️⃣2️⃣🐐🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Wow, he was so much more faster back then, he looked like an actually good scrambler, but now he can't run for shit.
what he lacks in athleticism, he makes up for in pocket presence.
that run recently tho
Hahaha talib almost broke his legs
+sharmarke nur talib is a thug and a dirty scum bag player
He’s like twice the age of this video now, that’s a pretty good reason why
All time great video. Chilling.
Souring Report: Too much awkward movements, good arm, not mobile for size late rounds pick. But definitely worth watching
i’m surprised the footage is in color…
Contrary to most great players I think Brady is going to make a great coach one day. He’s literally had to work for everything he’s gotten.
this guy is gonna be really good one day. I just know it
The greatest draft miss in nfl history. I love brady and the pats and it still blows that he wasn't drafted higher but im greatful for it. It shows that most of these draft idiot's don't know what there talking about when they think they know what makes a nfl player. You can have all the arm strength, height, build and hype you want but if you don't have the mind and the heart to work harder you won't succeed. (Hint jamarcus russell)
no one can scout the heart of the game
The funny part is that in this video it clearly shows that brady has a strong arm, some of these throws are excellent, scouts are dumb for saying he didn’t have arm strength.
Grateful
Wonder what Mel Kiper had to say about Brady.
He's already been called the GOAT. :)
THE GOAT!
Goat !
i wonder where is belichick? since haters always call brady a "SYSTEM QB" XD
Look pretty good, probably need another year in college, then declare for NFL draft.
Would love to see u do a best RB duo series...ex. Lawrence phillips Ahman Green/ Chubb Michel etc
Brady’s been playing since black and white TVs were still around..
Can you do Ezekial Elliot and Keyshawn Johnsons nephew Mike Thomas and maybe as a throwback Ladainian Tomlinson
Love the throw back
He was making critical throws in college, under pressure and in tight windows. How did they miss on this?
GOAT!!!!
Not physically strong enough to play in the NFL
HE CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
I never knew tom played for my home state
He has done alright since this
Just imagine how many rings Peyton Manning would have had if the Patriots didn’t draft this kid.
In a way, it’s the other way around. How many rings would Brady have if the Manning brothers didn’t exist.
Manning has a 3-2 record against the Pats in the playoffs. Realistically, Brady only held him back from one ring, 2003.
0-2 vs manning in the super bowl
I remember watching that game against Alabama I must have been 7 or 8 😅. Go blue
New Richard Sherman Highlights! ruclips.net/video/qmIsuj0cwtA/видео.html
Yeah he might end up getting picked up in the 7th round if he's lucky
Really wish my Wolverines would get back to playing ball like this
How tf did we not go earlier in the draft
#thegreatestever
Great great video
Did John Kirby go to Michigan?
🐐
..tom brady ..one of the best
james williams The Best.
This guy will be a decent backup qb but it looks like the Patriots will get him in the 6th round. He might get a shot if Drew Bledsoe goes down but I doubt it.
2 years later
Adren Sustaita it was a joke dipshit and he was in the league for around 20 years not 3
Oh I get it because that the thing that happened. How super clever of you
Ill just leave this here 🐐
5 years later he is a 7 time super bowl champ!
Tampa should get this guy
Lol
+Ma Masing dam..
Ma Masing no those fools don’t deserve it
Ya Brady go blue
49ners shouldn't get this guy... we might draft that kid thats like 4 years old collin Kaepernick in a few years... i saw him throw a paper in the garbage can his first time.. no other kid in pre k can do that
Weird to think that when this was going on, Tom Brady's most valuable tight end was only 6 years old
The accuracy on all these throws is unreal. It’s crazy that the goat Brady was the 199th pick.
Upside down (how the elite talk) he is the 66-1. The 1. The 66. The man of men.
The crazy thing is, if you asked most Michigan fans who've been around awhile, he wasn't the best QB they ever saw at Michigan. He had to fight for starting time against Drew Henson. Chad Henne was better than him for sure... Apparently the one thing Brady had over All of them was his Will to be the best, because there's no question that he's the GOAT now. He was good, but he certainly wasn't IT in college.
Did you see his body in college? He looked like he would break if a lineman sneezed on him
But for some reason it didn't break, for the amount of abuse he took, he darn never had that mang injuries @@WithDreday
@@WithDreday he beat a 10-2 sec bama in the orange bowl and diced them up
This guy will never be anything more than a Practice Squad player, everybody knows the NFL is not looking for lanky, white, weak-armed quarterbacks. I mean he doesn't even start for his college, on the other hand the starter Drew Henson is a surefire hall of famer with 0% chance of being a bust. I expect Henson to end his career top 5 in Passing Yards and Passing TD's in NFL History and have a few Super Bowl rings to add. Brady will just be one of those guys who plays 1 or 2 years as a practice squad member on some low level team like the New England Patriots
-Mel Kiper Jr. April of 1998
Oh how time has developed "The" great Tom Brady...
+ClamNewton How many rings does he have? #loser
+ClamNewton Drew Henson isn't even in the NFL.Plus do you even know football
hes joking guys lmaooooo
King Of The Trill Thank You, I understand sarcasm is nearly impossible to interpret over the internet but in this case there is no argument that Tom Brady will "never be anything".
Still mad my Niners passed him up for Giovanni Carmazzi.
you should be even more mad they passed on aaron rodgers
+Jeffrey Brozek Aaron is no Tom Brady, sir.
please us Steelers were the hugest team that passed on him . he gets revenge on us every time we play him . to be fair we were looking at big Ben and eli Manning since high school
..gio who? is that a pizza joint lol
hopelessly_g i think you mean little tommy is no Aaron "The Bad Man" Rodgers
How tf did he get overlooked
For the vast majority of the plays in the clip Brady was under center. His play action was beautiful. Just beautiful. In retrospect is no wonder he made the transition to the NFL so seamlessly.
Didn’t most QBs play from under center back then?
All the players in those games are retired or dead except for Tom Brady
dead?
@@Tylerance yeah i know some would prob be dead but mostly would be retired
Dead ? Wtf
They’re not dead lmao

Man the Buccaneers sure could use a quarterback like this guy.
🤪🤣🤟 yup
Just had to wait 20 years for the opportunity. It just might be with the wait 😉😉
And they lost him as fast as they got him 😂. Retired
@@ohhellyeehborther2686 Came out of retirement B)
Brady to Bucs? Are you crazy in your head man?😂
Shit ... this looks like the same Tom Brady that we have seen dominate in the NFL for so many years. I am not sure where I see why he was picked so late in the draft. These are highlights so I don't know how his game looked for 4 quarters straight. Regardless, he seemed to have shown all the skill set here to be a great NFL QB. He seems to have good pocket awareness, precision passing, a quick release, he looks he can throw the deep ball ... NFL teams were snoozing on this guy.
Haha, you are right man!!! Brady was great at Michigan but he was overshadowed by all the media hype and popularity of QB Drew Henson. Coach would put Brady in when Michigan was down and loosing, then Brady would bring them back in the game every time and then he'd bench him and put Henson back in!! Isn't that crazy??. He got his nickname as the "Comeback Kid" in college!!! He even helped them win bowl games where he was the starting QB beating powerhouses like Alabama!! I think it was because he gave a mediocre performance at the Combine and because he didn't look athletic enough. Brady was scrawny and goofy looking in college. Definitely didn't physically look like an athlete. But again, you are right...that's the same Brady! It's unbelieveable that so many teams missed that!
I agree dude. Some of the placement on those throws were a thing of absolute beauty
I know hindsight is 20/20 but there’s no way Brady should’ve been a 6th rounder. @best I agree everything you said. He possess all the qualities to be a decent nfl qb. I’m not saying he should’ve been the no 1 pick. But there’s no way he should’ve fallen to the 6th round.
I mean his pure form and his throws are just money
Like Russell Wilson.
A beast then, a beast now, a beast forever.

@@AVERAGERWEFAN shut up you didn’t even use that “meme” correctly don’t just use jokes because they’re popular
Not bad. I don't think he's ready to go pro just yet though.
To think this kid would be killing shit for 20 plus years is crazy
Jk
His longevity is insane. He was so overlooked at that time.
Imo these highlights say Brady was pretty darn good.
“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.”
-Gandhi
His college play looks exaclty as it did in his nfl years… not sure how he was overlooked by “experts”. he’s making amazing throws from what I see here
Who’s here after #7?
What ever happened to this Tom Brady guy? You don't hear much of him anymore.
The greatest to ever live.....
The Penn State game was his best performance
Crazy how Michigan had Brady as a QB and didn't start him every game. That explains Michigan perfectly
I can see this kid winning 7 sbs
There are just things you can’t measure. Brady didn’t (still doesn’t) have the strongest arm. It’s good, but it’s not Mahomes or Rodgers. He doesn’t have the mobility or athleticism you would want in a QB. But there’s something that he has that few others have. It’s hard to describe what it is, but when you see it, you know. Brady has it. Babe Ruth had it. MJ had it. Jeter had it. Montana had it. That ability to just manufacture a win out of nowhere. The ability to work wonders, and literally drag a team by the shirt collar, sometimes kicking and screaming, to victory. Elway is known for “The Drive”. Brady has at least 20 of those moments in his career. It’s unbelievable. Even if you hate him, you have to respect him.
How could all the NFL Teams Not See This! It was so obvious! It just Proves that all their combine garbage means absolutely nothing! Great Job NE! uh, and TB!
A lot of these throws were slightly under thrown, I can see why he was overlooked during that time. He wasn’t all the way polished yet. However, he continued to develop and got better and better now is a LEGEND😊
What makes it special, was this highlight clip was produced from a QB that was only givin’ half a chance.
Yeah well he would’ve been more polished if Michigan didn’t play drew Henson half the time 🙄
He's 6 foot 4 and showed moments of greatness.....WHY was he drafted so late????
colderbeer failed at the combine really badly
watch "the brady 6"
Tempest Jay combine is overrated. I care more about real game play like these highlights. Should've been a 3rd rounder but scouts are dumb
Only started one year, is gangly, failed at the 40 and cone drills at the combine and doesn’t look good with his shirt off
@@moheganson highlights are misleading to Ryan Leaf hights are way bettet than Brady but Ryan was a bust
Hard to believe teams saw this tape and brushed it off like he wouldn't amount to shit
too busy worshipping black QBs
The Patriots should draft this guy to back up their current starter, he looks very similar
0-0
I don’t think Tom Brady and Cam Newton look too alike
I'd like to take the time to thank all the scouts who didn't get it right lol. If they knew what they know now, Tom would've would've been the first to bring a ring to Cleveland. Not that I have anything against Cleveland but there's a good chance that he wouldn't have been drafted by the Pats
+The Uncle Drew Cleveland could've had 4 super bowls they got rid of belicheck and couldve drafted brady lol
ZBOI True lol
Tom brady is a belichick product for the most part. But he still has a place in my part
iNoVA More like Bill is a product of Brady. Forget his draft stock. Bill has built the Pats to his liking, not for Brady. So therfore, he can't be a product. To be a product you have to have things done for you that's beyond the norm. Brady has ran multiple offenses with no problem. Heavy Run, Balanced, No Huddle, Heavy Pass.. Doesn't matter. Tom will be Tom. A product has limits, flaws. And there's no flaws in Tom Brady as a QB. Bill has never reached for an offensive weapon to give Brady. Moss only had two good seasons after 2007. Gronk was a second rounder with question marks. He's great but his route running isn't where it should be. A lot of his success falls on the shoulder of Brady putting the ball where he wants to put it and Gronk knowing where to look for it. And the rest like Branch, Edelman, Welker.. were projects under Brady's wing.
My point. . Unlike Peyton, Rodgers, Montana, Aikman, Big Ben and other QBs who've had teams built for them, Brady has had to work with 3rd tier talent for his entire career. This year's Pats team may be the best and look how it was put together. Look at that Pats defense. Top talent from top to bottom vs the offense. Imagine if Brady had the teams that Peyton has had. He would have more than 4 rings and would own all the stats.
bro you dropping straight short stories in the comment section lol I digress, bill is the greatest coach in NFL history bill makes Brady.
Every now and then whenever I think about how much Michigan sucked last year and will probably get blown out by OSU again this upcoming year I like to come back and watch highlights of Brady playing there. That's one thing I can look back at fondly at least.
Not This year😏
Natty baby!!!
Welp, the GOAT officially retires
anticipation, footwork and dimes is how I'd summarize this video
everybody in that crowd didn't know they were looking at a legend
This dude looks the same from then to now....man hasn't aged
And they say Brady never threw deep when he was young. Dumb media they give the first 3 super bowl wins credit all to bill like Brady can't throw it past 10 yards
is this guy even still around? he looked great in college
Why do you want to know? You clearly don't watch football

What's crazy to me is this doesn't really look like the Brady I see today.
I'm a Bucs' fan, and Brady has been incredible for us. As an NFL fan it's impossible to not know of Brady, but I'm not a Patriots fan, so I didn't watch all his games there and observe his progression. This guy doesn't even resemble the Brady I've seen. The footwork is bad, the arm does not look live at all, the famous quick release is absent.
I hope you can see that I'm not saying Brady is bad, but rather what's truly remarkable about him is his progression at the pro level. Yes, he is the most underdrafted player in NFL history, but it would have truly been impossible to see it if you didn't know the guy.
He knows the passing windows and incorporates the mismatches.
I would love to see a film study with him and joe Montana.
"He's a big, strong, very durable athlete that has an excellent work ethic, specially in the off-season, and does things to try to make himself a better athlete". No shit!
HS coach was spot on.
his durability is his best attribute, aside from 2008 he was always under center
All these WR were high rated coming out of college but brady was not. Now you watch what he does in the pros with every WR hes ever had. He makes them good.
Not last year 😪
Way to throw it back Harris Highlights ! Haha way to be different , a lot of highlight channels wouldn't have thought of this! you should do college highlights of players from back in the day every Thursday. #ThrowBackThursday

Watching this footage he shouldn't have been drafted that low qbs must have been stacked that year
How did no one notice him dude was making all the throws a nfl qb needs to make second he touched the field
"Intangibles" = euphemism for "We don't know exactly what we're looking for but we know it when we see it."
Well, they were half-right. They exactly didn't know what they were looking for but they were blind af.
Watching brady in Michigan is actually crazy
Crazy how anybody can call Brady soft or a pussy look how willing he is to deliver accurate passes downfield while under pressure and clearly going to take a shot. Thats alot of qbs issue they dont want to take a hit so they wouldve thrown the ball away in that position.
Hey, I'm a steeler fan. Just stopping by to see if anybody talked shit on the greatest quarterback in history.
The man is just a stone cold killer.
