- Graeme O'Neil takes a look at how the "Frasier" revival honoured John Mahoney in its first season, including the season finale, and Kelsey Grammer and Peri Gilipin
You could tell the emotion and grief was real in Kelsey and Peri. Anyone who has lost someone dear to them could relate.
Yes it does not matter how many years past. You learn to deal with it but the grief never stops and thats what we see in them
I love how Kelsey paid tribute to John. It's great to know John isn't forgotten.
I lost my Dad in 2012. I still miss him everyday.
It was great for Kelsey to pay tribute to him.
RIP John Mahoney!❤️
Heartbreakingly beautiful ❤️
I really do miss him 🕊️🙏🏾❤️
Even as a fan and watcher of all the original episodes everytime Martin is brought up I get teary as if he were my own family member. We were so unsuspecting of the impact he had on us all. Loved him!
Amazing bunch of people. ❤
This last episode cemented the producers getting into the Fraiser groove again -- took a few episodes, but this was a good one.
Frazier was global family wherever I was. Many thanks 🎄💫✨🧚♀️
That is soooooooooo true! ❤
Kelsey’s emotions remind me that many of us older men were taught that boys don’t cry, and we need to keep our emotions hidden to preserve our “masculinity” - in a misguided way. But, it’s when we lose our male heroes + substitute and/or real fathers that we finally, and without shame, lose our composure. I have longed believed that a man does not truly rise into his manhood until he loses his father. That is when we no longer fear disapproval for being emotional creatures (generalizing of course). Well, Frasier, I think your “dad” would be very proud of you now. ❤
I lost my dad, and hear and understand what you are saying. I did not cry and kept it in. But it always comes out in the end. I now believe that facing it is more the way of a man then keep it in.
Oh I love Kelsey and Frasier ❤
me too
When someone you love dies, it's always fresh.
That’s was very touching ❤
I remember when he first came to stay with Frasier he was a grumpy old man, the way the writers wanted him to be but as the show progressed his character softened & he became more lovable. Yes, it was sad when he passed as he was a valuable asset to the show & so was Eddie. The reboot was fine but will never replace the original show, it was just TOO good.
Best show ever. Genius writing and actors
Peri gets better and better looking ❤
Where can I find this interview on The Talk?
Can’t believe he was only 73
Has there been any mention yet in the new show about Martin’s second wife Ronnie? Is she still part of the family?
Roonie return those Martin's Christamas decorations to Frasier and Freddie.
I first saw John Mahoney in “Say Anything”, which was a good movie. I didn’t watch “Fraser.
strange isn't it that both Kelsey and Nicholas have had very different shows that has delt with a character that has died for real and has the passing written into the shows that they'd performed in finding comedy within both !!! Which sadly most comedy written won't go within 100 miles off anything serious in life and comedy value find and use it because life and death is part of the same funny humours existence!
