- Travel Assist in stop and go traffic. Doesn't ask you to take the wheel unless you get over ~10mph. If it completely stops then all you have to do is tap the accelerator pedal.
Thanks for the info
Do the green lines around the car indicate that it’s also doing lane keeping even at those low speeds? I thought you had to be going 25mph for that to be active.
Yes
Did you find the braking sound annoying when it came to a full stop? I wish the transition could be smoother
Yeah not smooth..
Do you know if Travel Assist applies the brake lights when in use? Always concerned about someone creeping up and not seeing brake lights.
Yes it does👍
I wondered the exact same thing! What about when driving in B mode?
@@mjswickYes it will activate brake lights in any mode when using IQ. Drive
@@mjswickIt does not apply the brake lights when in B mode, it’s just like letting go of the gas pedal on a gas car.
If you add a weight to the steering, can it fool the system and rides without putting your hands on travel assist mode?
I haven't tried the Tesla water bottle trick yet 😉
It’s a capacitive steering wheel, so it’s not a force based system.
Have you tried it in city traffic?
I found that on city streets the system looses the lane line detection quite a bit so you lose automated steering but it keeps adaptive cruise control enabled so you don't have to control the accelerator pedal.
When you hit 0 mph do you have to hit resume on the cruise to go again?
If it's at zero for a few seconds then the parking brake will engage. To start again you just have to tap the accelerator pedal or presss the "res" button on the steering wheel
@@LegitSpeedDesigns do you know of a way to fix this? Like a setting. Other cars that I have used will come to a stop but also move with traffic. Hoping there’s a way around this... This be a awesome work around for true one pedal driving.
@@LegitSpeedDesigns If you keep you hands on the steering wheel it will continue when the cue moves
Do all ID4s have travel assist?
Yes
I believe only the first edition and Pro S have it, recently test drove a Pro without it
@@eugenea.vivinoiii8008 The car in the video is a Pro model
Yes- my pro model has it.
Is travel assist different to active cruise? I have a PRO and it seems to do the same but I have to hold the steering wheel.
Don't you have a law in your country prohibiting driving barefooted? This is very dangerous.
Driving with flip flops is more dangerous
@@LegitSpeedDesigns Also driving blindfolded.. Get some proper shoes, folks!
