- In this Cities: Skylines video I show you a first-person Monorail Rail Ride in my Cities: Skylines Dream City.
We're starting at the Airport which has 4 stations in the Loop. The airport is connected to the Downtown of Dream City where the monorail stops two times. [Pro builds his Dream City Series]

My fictional me, living in Dream City, found a job at the airport just for a daily monorail ride.
Get a job at Haneda Airport in Tokyo
I moved to Dream City and got a job at a pier down on the beach because it's so lovely with the view
Me at video start: "eh, not really into first person ride vids, but I'll give it a view"
Me as soon as the track goes between the highway roads, bends around the coastline, and brings the city into view: "whoah look at that...". Relaxing ride.
The creativity you have to even envision the layouts you effortlessly seem to plop down is wonderful.
I hope the local government plan an extension Maybe when this monorail project pays of and gets really busy connecting to university / big shopping 🛍 centre or even terminus station near a tourist area where they can swap to the trolley busses :-)

I'm going to do a monorail in my airport, but instead with 6000 mods and assets (according to loading screen mod)
Can you do a 1st person bus ride? I really want to get some nice glimpse of the city on the ground. The view was nice as well and the graphics. I love the downtown view and the buildings. It’s what makes this city unique!

i don't know how many tourists your Dream City attract but if i was one of them, i will definitively stay there for life. i'd loved to see a green part of your city, something like a ecovillage on top of a montain only accessible by cable cars
Lol this is exactly what I built in ep 6😌( I changed it later to green cities houses)
A chinatown would look great in your city. With the "pearl from the east" and the "modern japan" add ons it would make it look so nice :)
But then the save game is almost impossible to access by many people

Could you do a ride on the metro? Also an idea for these 1st person videos of the transit is by using text to speech to say the station names, like the announcements on the tube or something?
PD: You could try to build a small village on top of a mountain, and to get there you have to make many detours to get to the top
That was beautiful! The only thing I would think is shouldn't there be a separate monorail that connects the airport to the city. "Realistically" if a person is taking the monorail for connecting flights the loop as is isn't very practical to passengers, in the event they are coming from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1 for a connecting flights. Unless there's an underground metro connection. I can't remember from the other video.
When I'm building out mine I'm gonna add a fourth terminal, of the single original airport. You've been such an inspiration.
They can switch at the airport center to the monorail line which serves the stations in the other direction:)
Looks good doesnt work right? Very low people actually using the system, my guess because of transport redudancy (theres also a metro conecting the airport?) Have faced this same issue many times in my cities.

You should have a series of videos, that's basically all the public transportation lines. I know it'd be hard work and lengthy, but the outcome would be great.

They really should integrate this camera mod into the base game, for console users. It wouldn't even be that difficult, considering that console already has the Explore mode. All CO has to do is attach the camera to the vehicle you inspect and follow or something (Possibly with an option in the Inspect Tool's radial menu).

Do you think you can work on the POV angles though? The way the camera has a delay on the turns sort of gives me motion sickness while trying to observe the city. Other than that, I'd love to live there.

It's funny you can build realistic city until their smallest details but not the monorail track, especially with that oh-my-god curve.
The quantity of stations at the airports seems too expensive. I get the idea, but we don't have small/simple enough monorail stops for the financially beneficial portion of the monorail ride. It probably needs more airport facilities, for 4-5 monorail stops.
You should make a Chinatown and Alcatraz island with the new dlc and others next video that would be great with Helicopters too
