Today we're building a central station for the Downtown area and a huge harbor on an artificial island in the bay area!
In my new vanilla Cities: Skylines series I build my dream city without mods.
Pro is a fictional character from the Noob VS Pro VS Modder series.

There's something unique about you; other RUclipsrs need at least 100 mods and 1000 assets to make a city look nice, yet you with almost vanilla mechanics and assets made something amazing. This is outstanding to me.
Yes that is probably the best Cities Skylines series ever, because making vanilla cities looking so good is a real talent.

I do wish he would use anarchy mod though... seeing him having to redo a certain layout just because of a minor collision problem (the ped paths above the harbor) makes me think it'll still be vanilla without the limits of the engine.
The whole point for those cities are to make them realistic, that’s why they use those mods and assets.
This is the most capitalist thing I've seen in this game. "Hey, lets tear down those old historic ruins to build a shipping center." I love it

Something that almost everyone seems to fail at, at least most of the big youtubers who I've seen play this game, is the road and public transport layout of the city. Most traffic is caused by terrible road layouts, which cause all sorts of inefficiencies.
You and Target (So sad he's gone), made the best city layouts, with very functional roads using mostly, or entirely vanilla mechanics. They look good, realistic and the traffic flows perfectly.

It are 14 pillars but at 9:20 you can actually see that because you added that other section the bridge now has 2 more pillars because theire not stuck together so it is 16 pillars

That harbor looks absolutely stunning and I love the way you set up your highway and connections, I can never think of how to set my highways and always end up with a spaghetti mess on my city.

There are 7 pillars of the bridge in the water but multiply it by 2 because there’s the counter flow one so it’s 14, and pretty nice work! Keep it up!

The bridge is long and it doesn't end on the island. So.. i think there are 10 pillars each streetside of the bridge in the water (what you can see in the video). I tell there are 20 pillars in the water.

Well, you certainly had your way with that little island in the bay. This reminded me of watching Godzilla vs Bambi. I follow this series on my own copy of this map and I didn't see this coming. I learn so much watching you build, hope you're enjoying it as much as I am.

@@imperatur, thanks for your interest. I agree it is a beautiful map and chose MrMiyagi's recommendation of the NotSoRocky Hills theme by Khanador for the excellent rock textures. I'm quite late (December) to the CS party so this map will only be my second city project. My first city is running stable at 120K with traffic in the mid-eighties so I'm ready for something new to build. Do you have any experience or advice on using animal spawns? I want to try some in a larger than normal nature preserve on this new map.

Ironically to something I said on your Metro hub video, you've just sort of built the other end of the Staten Island Ferry, the neighborhood of St. George. Ferries, buses, Trains... and a baseball stadium next door.
The metro line will be extended to the central station there will be a huge transport hub with ferries, buses trams and metros
16 bridge pillars in the water. if you mean one side it is 8 pillars but both sides are 16

I don‘t use mods for this, when there is a problem with traffic i try to fix it with public transit or changing the intersections :)
