@@TruthReviews So, I did a quick eBay listing for reference, and complete copies of MK DD sell for anywhere from $62->$110 and have more reliably sold in the last month for closer to $80. So an approximate premium of about 20%. That sounds about right to me, especially seeing as GameCube has become insanely expensive in the last year. It’s not scummy to me, it’s just the current state of retro games.
It’s a limited supply they live off of people donating their games, consoles, controllers etc. It’s a fucking miracle that they aren’t selling them for eBay prices, you either pay $200 bucks for a wii or you browse eBay and have to pay $750.
I suddenly wanted a wii with wii sports and sports resort and it would’ve been 149.99 for the wii, 45 for each game, and 35 a controller. Found a used wii with all the fixings and both wii sports games included for $80. Now I’ve been getting controllers and nunchucks for half the price, and I get to play right away
@revolutiontimewithidiots1126I was also thinking 20k bare minimum. Cubivore alone is $620.00 on their website and that is on sale. They originally had it at $758.00

@@Wes36Man Yeah I got it quite some time ago online for like 60 dollars or something, I don't know what made me want to buy it but I got it with the case and I think the instruction manual. Cubivore was going to be a N64 game but due to the discontinuation of the N64 the developers decided to put this game on the GameCube. Hard4Games coved the N64 prototype rom before the switch to the GameCube.
It’s disappointing because I love these videos, great way for them to interact with their patrons and customers and connect with them, but yeah prices are high, and they almost never have what you’re looking for. I understand how difficult the retro game market can be, but there really would be no incentive for me to order from them when I can go down the street to my local half price books and find more of what I’m looking for. Either way love the channel, really do hope they continue their success.
I enjoy watching these videos, but never went to their site. Its probably for the best. Im at my moms for vacation and they have a brick and mortar store, and i dont know- its a nice store, can go for as cheap as 4/$10 dollars on xbox/ps2 games and 3/$10 on cheap ps1 games. That store is so awesome, i always get ps2 games for my collection. He even had God Hand and Silent Hill 2 in stock
These rich dudes paying for insta collections ironically makes me feel better about my smaller but time consuming collecting. It's because of people like you and all these resellers that I can't buy the games I grew up with. I was that kid that would have to sell his games to buy a new one. I gave up so many games that I wish I still had to this day and even if I wanted to play them I can't because most of these games go for a hundred plus and then here you are up selling them 30-50%. It's obvious that as a business you're getting all this for the low even if it's like 10-20% that not including the new stuff y'all got. For example one of the games that I missing is Pokemon Fire Red on eBay it goes anywhere from $50-$80 bucks but you selling it for $200. There's no way you can justify bringing up the price more than 100% only I could think of that you paid a ridiculous amount of money for certain games and are trying to get your money back by ripping people off. But i guess it if they're gullible people out there and I mean I guess I would do it too 🤷🏻
I have all these games, they are on my hard drive. I got them all with just one click for free. And the hard drive cost less than buying a single game from Mr. Crabs right here.
That guy is 100% a sucker for buying from DKOldies. Their prices are TERRIBLE and they justify it by claiming they include the "120 day warranty" in the price. We don't want warranty, we want the games.
What we got to remember is some of these games are complete, they also spend time in cleaning them and making sure they work and not only that the Guarantee they offer you don’t get that with EBay & don’t forget there is always a code from these guys.
other thing we got to remember is that, for example, lets say that they have 300% of money per month, 100% will be for rent, buy stock, and pay for the large warehouse where they put their stuff, other 100% is to pay the employees, and the last 100% are pure profit, plus that they test, clean, and ship safely, open your eyes people, you arent buying from a guy who collects retro stuff, you are buying from an company that needs to pay their rent and to pay their employees.
Whoever is buying games from DkOldies online store must be ballin’ with money. I get that GameCube games are rising in price, but almost $200 for Paper Mario?? Like get out of here. I have recently gotten Kirby’s Air Ride, Mario Kart Double Dash, Luigi’s Mansion, and Mario Party 5 for $60 or less each. All in pretty darn good condition too. You just gotta know where you look
I want Cubivore as I used to have it when I was a kid but unfortunately I sold it along with my gamecube and other games when I got newer systems. This game is really fun and I wish I still had it along with Billy Hatcher.
