So glad you had the offer. Some Amex Hilton Surpass Cards also have the offer. Doesn’t hurt to check all your cards priori or to purchasing. Also looks like Frontier will also be an option for the Annual Airline credit on AMEX platinum as well for baggage and seat fees.
It's a great program, but like most of Frontier, it's not for everyone. I think if you fly out of LAS, MCO, or DEN, and have a flexible schedule, and fly light or have status, it's spectacular.
Thank you for sharing. I was on the fence about this. Frontier only has about 10 destinations from my airport. One happens to be Atlanta and l visit family frequently. I am thinking about getting the pass to supplement travel and use Atlanta as my hub because l can fly almost anywhere out of Atlanta. Thanks for sharing.
I got the most recent one and status match as well. I'm glad you mentioned flying in and out in one day. I would be very interested in doing the first flight out and the last flight out on flights under 3 hours. Atlanta is my home airport, so there are plenty of options.
Status match is a nice bonus. Having Atlanta s your home airport is great or Frontier flights but the TSA there was crazy the one time we had an overnight layover there.
Thanks for this video! Super informative! For other than the listed black-out dates, are there more that they don't tell you about? I'd hate to purchase and then all the Fridays and Sundays are blacked out. **Looking at this pass to travel back & forth from my properties in PHX, AZ to SD, CA.
Thanks. Glad you found the video helpful. We never had an issue with extra black out dates and flew many times on Fridays and Sundays. Hope the pass works for you.
I used it to see as many MLB stadiums as possible and at first worked out great. HOWEVER, once Frontier offered more and more specials and my home airport is Las Vegas, I found it to be impossible to get a flight home. Flight were booked way in advance. Fortunately, I got my moneys worth out of it but I can't imagine doing it again.
I've been using the Go Wild pass for fall and winter. I've used it about 6 times to go between Chicago and Phoenix. 2 times between Phoenix and Denver. After tax, it's $15 a flight. Like they mentioned in the video, you really just have to be flexible. I have friends and family in both areas so if I'm stuck in overtime, it doesn't really matter. Keep in mind, don't book a seat and just use a normal laptop backpack. Sometimes the gate attendant can get you if your bag doesn't fit in their sizing container. With their new rewards system starting next year 20k miles is silver status and it will include a carry-on and seat selection outside of the big seats. Enjoy! Last thing, I agree with you. I've run into problems with every airline. Operation issues, people causing issues, the list goes on. Rich and Robin give really good advice here. Enjoy!
Bad news. They're changing their Elite Status completely. Silver will actually be equivalent to 10k miles and doesn't include a carry-on or checked. That'll be Gold status and you need an extra 10K to get there. There's ways around it but that's another story.
@KevinlyFather ya status changes are never in favor of the customer. :( We currently have Elite 50k until the end of 2024. Not sure what that is for their new system.
@@OurMidlifeVan 50k starting Jan 1st gets you: Now FREE bags and seats for your whole party! Bring your pet-in-cabin for FREE, gift Silver Status to someone else, and every $ earns you 16 miles.
For domestic flights, do we HAVE to book at midnight or at least 24 hours before the flight? I noticed that when I booked a flight to leave tomorrow, it requests that I sign up for the monthly pass when I already purchased the yearly pass. I’m just really confused on how all of this works
First you have to log in on a browsers you can't do it in the app. Then you can book the day before. If you are booking a flight out of Denver Sunday you can book tonight at midnight Denver time. So the booking window is the time zone the flight departs. So I could booked a flight tonight (FRIDAY) at midnight Denver time for a SUNDAY night flight from Denver at 11:50pm and it is still considered a day before booking even thought it is more than 24 hours before the flight. We have stayed up late more than once to book flights as soon as the Go Wild Pass becomes available. Hope that doesn't confuse you more.
Once you have a Frontier Airlines account and Member Number you go to www.frontierstatusmatch.com and enter the information. You can match with status you have on another airline, hotel or cruise line.
If you’re booking an Intn’l trip… can you book round trip within 10 days? I.e. book a departure this Friday, returning Tuesday (both within the 10 day timeframe)?
We haven’t needed to use travel insurance yet. but they cover delays and cancelations as well as lost luggage and other issues. Depending on the delay or cancelation determines how much compensation you receive. some credit cards come with travel insurance like the one we use to purchase our tickets.
They don't make their status to clear. Their status chart on their website starts at Elite 20k. They also state Silver is 10K on another page but it is not on their Elite Chart. I think Silver gets you free seat selection at booking but not extra leg room from what I have heard from others.
Question for ya: Look at DEN to SEA on Tuesday the 28th, I see a bunch of Go Wild fares even though it's only Sunday now. I'm seeing lots of future GO WILD fares. However, these ones aren't $15. They're $69, 79, & 84. Are those seats they're selling for the taxes PLUS an early reservation fee since they aren't the day before do you think? The website won't let me click on them to see the fee breakdown because I don't have the GO WILD yet. Thanks.
Yes because it is an early booking, the fee says $50.23 when I clicked on fees under extras, right above total payment due. Their early booking fees vary that seems to be a high one.
@@OurMidlifeVan Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly. That makes sense. It'll be interesting at midnight tonight to see if any of those flights drop down to $15, which would be the goal, right?
No problem. I am assuming you are in Colorado now. Go Wild Booking prices go in effect at midnight departing airport time. Then yes tonight at midnight mountain time you can book for the Go Wild Pass. Another trick we use is put in six passengers for the flight you want to see and it’s available full fare, then that usually means there is a higher chance for Go Wild Tickets. If it’s not available then the odds of a Go Wild Pass ticket will slim to none.
I bought the pass. It was good at first, but now it's a total waste of money. I can NEVER find a flight where I can actually use it. Frontier offers Go Wild mostly on flights I would never take where there are multiple stops for a total of 20+ hrs travel time. Ridiculous. Absurd. Don't waste your money. It's false advertising.
We used our pass for 25 flights in the first year and didn’t have any issues thankfully. Only one delay of a couple hours and no cancellations. We have bought the pass again for another year so we will see how it continues to go.
It is prolly only worthwhile if you live near a Frontier "hub" city -- Denver, Orlando, Las Vegas, and Atlanta. Otherwise, the availability of Go Wild Flights from any other airport is gonna be slim pickings, and even if there are flights, those will likely not be direct.
Fantastic tip about the platinum Amex card. You just save me 40 bucks. If I see you guys at a Centurion lounge I'll buy you a drink. 😅
So glad you had the offer. Some Amex Hilton Surpass Cards also have the offer. Doesn’t hurt to check all your cards priori or to purchasing. Also looks like Frontier will also be an option for the Annual Airline credit on AMEX platinum as well for baggage and seat fees.
Are you in the Facebook group as you would enjoy it and the leader Jacob Brown was on good morning America
It's a great program, but like most of Frontier, it's not for everyone. I think if you fly out of LAS, MCO, or DEN, and have a flexible schedule, and fly light or have status, it's spectacular.
Yes for sure. Those are the best options for flights.

Once you have a Frontier Airlines account and Member Number you go to www.frontierstatusmatch.com and enter the information. You can match with status you have on another airline, hotel or cruise line.
Just buy it. It's $599 now still well worth it
Give that money to an airline employee to make you into a flight companion
If you’re booking an Intn’l trip… can you book round trip within 10 days? I.e. book a departure this Friday, returning Tuesday (both within the 10 day timeframe)?
Yes of both are in the 10 day time frame you can.
So if you are not retired its not worth it?
If you have flexibility it is worth it. Like working remotely or self employed and can travel easily.
How dose travel insurance cover your flight?
We haven’t needed to use travel insurance yet. but they cover delays and cancelations as well as lost luggage and other issues. Depending on the delay or cancelation determines how much compensation you receive. some credit cards come with travel insurance like the one we use to purchase our tickets.
If my flight was to get canceled, Would i get a refund?*just for that flight, not the pass itself*
Not sure but I would think they would refund the money.
It's not clear if Elite Silver gives you a carry-on. Any clue?
