Well now that’s nostalgic. I remember very vividly how nervous I was flying this thing for the first time after work bought one when it was just released. The jump from a Phantom 3 to an Inspire was quite something.
I know what you mean for sure. The Inspire 1 was such a big jump up in tech, complexity, size/weight and cost. I (hopefully) will never sell or get rid or my Inspire 1 or Phantom 3 Pro because they remind me of days past and when I first started flying drones. Thank you for watching and sharing! 👍👍
@@Waylon-Pierce Its a good question. It's really hard to beat the Mavic 3 Pro any way you look at it. it's relatively small, quiet and inexpensive but still packs a good punch with the M4/3 main camera. The Inspire 1 (like in this video) is an antique now and is nowhere close to the quality (camera, flying characteristics, etc) of the 3 Pro, shouldn't even be considered as an option to the 3 Pro. I would also say that the Inspire 2 is not a close comparison either. The Zunmuse x4s, x5s or even x7s is really not much better than the 3 Pro camera. One benefit you get with those camera systems on the I2 is interchangeable lenses. But still not worth it in most cases in my opinion. The I3 system will cost somewhere around $25,000 when you equip it with the necessary items - camera, lenses, flight batteries, etc. The $16,500 initial cost is just the "entry fee", Mid $20k is reality. Also, the Inspire series require a substantial amount more set up time and room to carry all the gear, and they are loud and attract lots of attention. The 3 Pro with RC Pro controller can be had for around $4k (I forgot the cost of mine, but somewhere in that range), is small and quite. Certainly the I3 has its place on movie sets or big production scenarios but for most of us mortals the 3 Pro is the way to go. My opinion is, unless you have very specific needs for the I2 or I3 then definitely stick with your 3 Pro. Another option is to go buy an I1 or I 2 on eBay just to play with. They are fun to fly!! Sorry for the long answer!!
