    They are both over $250 minimum online.
    Just tried the rye. Scored lowered than EH Taylor Rye and Dickel's Collaboration Blend Rye in a blind both of which are well under $250.

      Oh yeah the value on these is never good regardless of how good each batch is or isn’t

    Not sure how you found the rye and bourbon for the same. Rye ia 239 in Florida. Bourbon is 150.

      I got these from a buddy to film with I don’t own the bottles but I’m pretty sure in Pa they were the same msrp of around 185 or so a bottle

    The M10B shaking around on the table without the cork on it is making me nervous.

    It was super cool to get your take on the M10 bourbon. It’s the only one I’ve ever had. I don’t have any reference. The 2023 is pretty awesome. It should be for $185-$200 MSRP. The best rumor I’ve come across is that Michter’s sources from Old Forester. It was slightly substantiated in my mind during their distillery tour I went on this summer. During the tour, the guide talked about heat cycling 😉. When I asked about who did it first, them or OF, he got really weird and didn’t really answer. It could just be me reading into it. Anyhow, I’m glad you tried it. Cheers!

      Thanks for watching and yeah I hope they continue to be this good in the future but they can be real bad some years for the money. I’ve heard the OF rumor before could really be anywhere in brown Forman since I believe all their brands heat cycle but it seems most people believe it’s old forester. For me taste wise it was falling between Remus V and Dickel 15yr lol either way it tastes about 15 years old to me. Glad you got one definitely if you got one this was the one to get

    Nice review BB. I have not seen or tried any Michter’s 10 Year. Do not care for Dickel 13 Year BIB. Gave my bottle to my brother who cannot smell or taste anything due to Covid. 🥃

      Haha ahh a dickel hater I see. Well if you get a chance to try the M10B or Rye this year it’s worth a try but these things are always tough to find never owned a bottle myself even

    14:00 the question to be answered the source of the Michter 10 bourbon and rye. It's definitely not a Michter distillate.
    Your knowledgeable comparison picks make this channel. Thank you!

      Thanks! I always put thought into the comparisons. And yeah I guess no one really knows I think the majority think brown Forman because of heat cycling but I don’t know never had an old brown Forman product

    Good review. I was at the distillery a couple weeks ago and they didnt have any Michters 10. Very lame in my opinion. I like the Dickel BIB, Haven't tried the Remus 5 which I have heard great things but I have the 6 and I was pretty disappointed with it.

    • @bourbonbill
      @bourbonbill  Год назад +2

      Haha yeah the Remus 6 wasn’t even on the same level as 5 totally different animals. I wish the distilleries would keep more of the good stuff to give out but I get it demand just way outstrips supply

    I haven’t had any of the 10 year Michter’s, but I have all of your alternatives. They are all hitters

      I wouldn’t worry too much I’ve tried a few never owned a bottle myself and so far this is the only one I would buy but heck it lost to Remus V for me

    I have a bottle of that same barrel. Definitely didn't get DIckel on it, thank god. But damn it's a good barrel. Not sure the differences in the 23A, B, C, etc. barrel numbers, but I've have A and D and both are delightful.

      Haha they are great bottles this year. I’m glad I got to try them had I gotten a bottle it would definitely be in my top ten running for the year. The master distiller all but confirmed they are like 14ish years old

    Do you like the 10 yr better than the 2023 Bombergers?

    • @bourbonbill
      @bourbonbill  Год назад +2

      I preferred the Bombergers that night actually the higher proof and it’s such a fruit bomb followed by oak for me slightly edged out the 10yrB. That being said had it a different night and couldn’t make up my mind lol. During a group tasting most people said the 10yrB but didn’t deny the Bombergers was close

    Saw the rye yesterday for $230, which ends up being about $280 after WA taxes. Can’t justify it. Way too much money for a 92 proofer.

      I agree I really enjoyed the rye that I got to sample but I’m not shelling out that much for the Michters either

    Remus V is a SPECIAL bourbon!
    I would probably pay $150 for another bottle.

      Absolutely in todays pricing world 150 is a steal for it
