    How do you think the Widow Jane 10th Anniversary would compare to the Jack 10 Batch 3? Is the Anniversary in the same league?

      They are in the same league for sure. I really enjoy both but I probably lean Jack just because that’s one of my favorite profiles

    Paying $65 for knob creek 12, $60 for knob creek store picks, and getting knob creek rye store picks for $50 makes paying $90 for a bookers a little easier pill to swallow.
    I dont know if another distillery offers the value that jim beam does.

    Won a bottle of Parker's heritage 10yr rye in my states lottery. Priced at 185 as well. Jury is out to see if the juice is worth the squeeze. Also Hemingway rye is a pretty decent product if you get a chance to try it

    I love alot of the Michter’s line but they are in the territory of price gouging at this point. Hate to say it but it seems obvious. Many other better options for hundreds less!!

    • @bourbonbill
      @bourbonbill  5 месяцев назад

      That’s how I feel about it. They produce quality whiskey but the pricing is getting insane and I don’t like the excuse oh they have a lower barrel entry so it’s more expensive so do others who don’t charge as much

    I'll be the one person excited about WJ 10th Anniversary's performance in this video. I've always loved WJ10, but thanks to you I pulled the trigger on two bottles of the 10th Anniv and it was worth every penny. It really can go toe-to-toe with many allocated and/or more expensive bourbons.
    I'm a little jealous of so many people loving their KC12, especially given how much I enjoy Beam products. Mine is good, not great. I tried a friend's bottle and it was just ok. This makes me think that it must be batchy as hell. Don't get me wrong, I will enjoy the heck out of my bottle. But honestly, it would be destroyed by everything else in this video. I enjoy top-tier KC store picks much more at just 60 bucks.
    Keep up the excellent comparison videos, Bill. This is one of your best ones yet. Cheers.

      @Best_Served_Neat_On_Ice 5 месяцев назад +1

      Bill has said previously that KC12 is quite batchy. (I think he's said he's had half a dozen of 'em.)
      So you're saying your WJ 10th would destroy the two KC12s you've had?
      Are both your 10th Anniversarys the same year and batch? Any idea if the *Anniversarys* are batchy?

      @@Best_Served_Neat_On_Ice That's a good question. I have batch 6 of WJ Anniv. Both bottles. I have no idea which batch Bill has, but I can tell you that I enjoy mine as much as he enjoys his. Similar religious experience with lots of "oh dear lords" coming out of me. Lol.

    Great review Bill!!! Isn't it amazing that Michters 10 is supposedly a brown forman product and usually according to their master distiller contains older whiskey than 10 years. This year is the last that Michters 10 will be sourced so next year we will apparently see Michters 10 as their own. Price will be very curious as will quality. Look at bulleit crashing now that they are using their own. JD10 waaaayyy better than Michters 10 IMHO!!

    • @bourbonbill
      @bourbonbill  5 месяцев назад

    The 24A batch was much better than my 23E batch! I’ve had a few samples of 23A batches and they were noticeably better than the 23E. I already know the JD 12 and Michters 10 are gonna put up a battle in my end of year rankings. I need to find a JD 10 batch 3!

      @bourbonbill  5 месяцев назад +2

      Haha yeah I hope Dave chimes in and remembers what batch of 2023 he sent me that I compared it to. The 24A was delicious but you are right it’s going to compete with Jd12 and batch 3 of JD10 which poses a pricing problem lol

    Either way, Brown Foreman wins 😉! Michter’s has built a reputation on their LEs as a premier whiskey company. Their 20 and 25 year releases go for crazy money. They are cashing in on that reputation. I have a 2023 M10. I’ll milk it for a couple of years lol. Great comparisons. Thanks BB.
