Awesome video! I love my Whipple W175FF 2.9L: Front feed 2.9 liter (175 cubic inch) twin screw supercharger head unit, with 8-9 psi boost (using 3.5” pulley) and Aluminum high flow intake manifold, all part of the Stage Two 2.9L Whipple Kit. This equals a 561 RWH Dynojet on a stock 5.7L Hemi.
My 04 Cobra needs a Whipple 2.9 on it. Was really back and forth on which blower to go with ( from which company ) for a long time and what size. Ultimately I think the 2.9L will be a great fit for what I want to do with the car. With that said I wish whipple would offer a removable inlet to make things like spark plug changes and other things like that easier than having to pull the blower off. There may be a fundamental reason for why its not removable but I'm just speaking from the consumer stand point. Looking forward to buying a whipple for my Cobra in 2021
Haven't you all considered making a tri-screw supercharger, similar to carrier's triple screw chiller compressor? a Tri-Screw supercharger has half the total losses than a twin screw, a 83% efficiency compared with the twin screws 65%, due to lower drag losses, cancellations of side forces, the shorter rotors lead to less discharge losses, and the two outlets would help flow distribution
We certainly have, fitment on an engine is very difficult, going wider is a problem. Were already in the 80% efficiency range though so its not as beneficial. The automotive rpm/pressure combination is very different than industrial type compressors.
hello i'm from indonesia. can you make a small supercharger for my motorcycle. you know i'm so crazy about sepercharger so i decided to look for a sepercharger
I have one on my 2015 Mustang GT,I have no issues but the updates have stopped a few years ago and when I emailed to see if I had the latest and greatest I got some snooty chic giving me something she read of a form letter
Hi Andrew, We have the 2007-2018 Tundra Systems available, and we are now working on testing the latest models. Feel free to email our experts for more details at sales@whipplesuperchargers.com. Thank you!
I find this funny. 30 YEARS, yet they cannot cast a simple base for a SBC GEN 1 block TPI, LTI, EFI, even with all of that "LIFTER VALLEY" of space they can use to make it even sorter. Anyone who wanted to make some serious ($$$$$) would make a base that allows one of these upper supercharger systems to be bolted on a Gen 1 SBC block.
I feel that the timing between gears and lobes, is hardest to set precisley. How is it done? My favourite part in automobiles, beautiful meshing lobes.
I love my Whipples! This video is awesome!
Keep these types of videos coming! It’s awesome.
