- In this video we show a 2017 Ford Transit that had a complaint of the oil pressure light on at idle after reaching operating temperature. we show you how to diagnose if the engine is indeed about to go Tango Uniform or if it's just a telemetry problem. enjoy the video.
Any video you do on a Ford Transit is very helpful to us all. Keep them coming brother.
I like your video's , I work on transit fleet vehicles in eastern Canada , not ambulances , but service vans still , always find it interesting to see other peoples views and perspectives on issues with these vehicles.
So helpful! Interesting insight on how the oil pressure switch works- we recently had a condition where our 2020 T350 Ecoboost had a leak develop from damage on the oil filter- we actually didn’t get a light, despite losing quite a bit of oil. That threshold is very low to trigger the light- I think you said 5PSI.
I love how you share your knowledge from the fleet!!!!
Thank you for this video I just noticed a little bit of oil on my filter on my last oil change I was wondering where the hell it might’ve came from. I’m at 375k miles 3.7l
I am having same issue with my vehicle, even after replacing oil pump, timing and all the good stuff under front cover. Only comes on when oil is warm after 15 minutes, do you have a good diagram where this sensor is located? Also how long does it typically take to replace this sensor? Ford is telling me I need new engine 248K miles however I just replaced everything and seems to run fine, except for the oil light. Thanks for posting videos! Great way to spread knowledge!
I’m really glad you made this video I just fixed mine thank you so much
Missed your great videos - you have some awesome knowledge on these Transits - thanks
Any update on after you changed this out? What happened, what ended up being the culprit?
@@ShAwNbRuMFiElD it was just a failed sensor
Do you have a video replacing the oil sending unit?
Did you have to remove the oil before replacing the sensor/ Switch?
No
Thank bro you best
I've seen (eBay?) a high, or high-er volume oil pump (+20%) available for the Cyclone V6. Any benefit to a 3.7?
Thanks again for all your super-valuable vids.
I've yet to have an actual oil pressure issue on the duratec engines so far
I have a transit250 3.5l when temp outside is over 69f cluster gauges go out for few seconds then go light up again. No issues whatsoever when cold weather. Any thoughts? Hardly any videos on n RUclips for Transits full size Thanks
thk you sir!!
Thanks for watching
I have a 2010 ford f-350 6.4 the oil light will come on when an adult and when I drive it goes away just started doing that after I change the oil in it can I put a new oil filter on it not that the oil pressure sensor would be it but it's still on one person told me it was the oil filter I took the oil filter out put the cap back on and start it and the oil black is still coming on
Hi has this been resolved?
I'm currently experiencing this as well.
Wanted to know what you did to resolve it
tbis a 3.5 or a 3.7
3.5 ecoboost
Are they using green coolant?
Doesn’t that have to be changed sooner.
Which is why we use OAT
We use Preston yellow universal coolant
