I smell a showdown between screw extractors coming! I have the Engineer brand, and don't use them often, but they have made my life easier when I have needed them.
Those plier wrenches look exactly the same as the Carlyle pair I bought recently from Napa. I’m betting same manufacturer, different colors. I got those for $24.
Yup. The Carlyle’s are pretty solid too. I got a second pair to toss in my boat box. My current go-tos in that size are my Wera’s with the vinyl-covered jaws, but it’s nice having a pair for rougher work.
As a lineman, I’ve tried almost all the big names in Lineman Pliers and diagonals through the years. Ive had my eye on the Fujiya 9” lineman pliers but cant justify that price on Amazon just to play with them. Wondering how they’d stack up against my NWS Lineman and diagonals.
I wanted to try the slip joint pliers but after waiting 2 full months on my order I never even got a shipping notification. I seriously waited from Oct 15 to Dec 15 when it said it would ship and it still didn’t ship. I finally just cancelled the order.
Is that a mirror polish or some finish they put on. Looks almost like lacquer. I don't understand why they would use this finish. It will eventually look scratched up over time. I would have preferred the same finish as the adjustable wrench. Strange choices.
It’s basically a dark chrome.. not my preferred choice, chrome layer can be soft where it’s needed the most and can chip away. I definitely prefer a more solid tempered metal. I’d say the most advantage of chrome is easy clean and no rust..
The K is actually pronounced in Knipex because it is a German company, it follows the German pronunciation. The company itself even says the K is pronounced, they made a shirt stating it too. You are definitely not the first to point that out.
What are they thinking with those water pump pliers? The other items looks good but that price for a tongue and groove design that seems flimsy, really odd choice... Nice demo though Dan, thanks!
I guess judging by the tether hole, they were going more for a lightweight unit..🤷♂️ The rest of the Kurokin line was mostly toolbelt pouches, so possibly for someone that works up in high places..🤷♂️
@@AutobahnDan I had that problem too. But if u watch a few of my videos you will notice I stop or pause before I say... So yeah... And try to speak clearly.
Sir good day baka po Meron kayong lumang pliers na Hindi nyo na po nagagamit kung maaring hingiin ko na lang po? Di ko po Kasi kayang bumili nito Lalo na po kung gawang Fujiya.
The adjustable wrench with the ratcheting end is pretty neat
I have close to ten pairs of Fujiya but the orange handle ones. Great stuff

I’m an electrician in Florida and I switched from my Klein’s to the zero black linesman’s pliers..I’m only getting fujiya from here on out👌🏼
Great review as always, right to the end, 😀
17mm corresponds with M10 bolts, 13mm to M8, and 10mm to M6 bolts.
Nice video and excellent tools comparison! Good job, I really enjoy!
Thanks!! 👍👍
Thanks for the knipex comparison. I ordered the thin adjustable wrench. My first fujiya
Nice!!🔥 You’ll definitely enjoy them!
Excellent Review! Great Stuff! 👏👏
I have those shallow sockets...they work great👌
A must- have! 🔥
@@AutobahnDan agreed👍
Neat stuff 😃👍
Love my Japanese pliers😎😍😎😍😎

Yeah, Taiwan factories have the tooling required to make them for many brands around the world.

3 years later and NAPA is asking $76 for those Carlyles. Ouch!
I like the look but I think the adjustable wrench has a little too much play for me.The thinnest would be nice uncertain situation though.
check the ones from TOP and Lobster, both from Japan, you won't be disappointed. 😽👌
Okay you’ve gained a new sub!
Awesome! Thanks for watching!

I’d definitely wait till they’re on a sale on Amazon. Might mostly be a preference thing with the fujiya, Might be worth to give it a shot!
7700N-200BG is perfect!!!!!!!!!!
Awful lot of rattling in those adjustable wrenches.

Cast stuff is usually Taiwan made in Asia?

401 can u get a 1/4 or 1/2 drive adaptor for that wrench to drive standard sockets
Unfortunately, none I seen for 17mm. The most common I’ve seen are ones that adapt to a 19mm ratcheting wrench.
Do you pronounce the k in knife as well?
The K is actually pronounced in Knipex because it is a German company, it follows the German pronunciation.
The company itself even says the K is pronounced, they made a shirt stating it too.
You are definitely not the first to point that out.
👍
It's obvious that knipex is far superior when you compare them.

Fun video, enjoyed.... Constructive criticism; try NOT saying "so yeah" all the time. Other than that great job
I gave up editing out my “Uhh’s and umm’s” 😂😂😂

You are comparing a Knipex Pliers wrench to a Fujiya Monkey style Plier....incorrect
Very strange to say that is incorrect. It never hurts to get a visual and to see how a different brand compares as a base point to a well known pair.

Nothing special. An ordinary Taiwanese instrument under the Japanese brand. Kraftul and Inforce also have such a draw wrench.
Japanese pliers price ?
🍻🍺🍕👍🏻
KONAMAN!!🍕🍻🍕🍻
I wish you would stop waving the tools around. Just hold them still so we can have a proper look.
