Thanks! I was working for many hours on the emergency-recovery tftp and it didn’t work out. None of the websites mentioned using the USB. After you video it was just a 5 minute job. Huge relief!

how you go inside rommon mode? for 3850

You really need to expand on the image as it is for all intents and purposes non viewable with the ultra small characters on the screen. I may just watch it or rather listen to the commentary and see if it helps me. I do appreciate that you have made an attempt to help people who find themselves in this situation (like myself) and I hope I have not offended you. It was just a constructive criticism.
My problem is that I cannot get into Rommon. I get the prompt Switch:
I have tried the xmodedm route but no joy. It keeps on getting reset by the remote host

Then format you flash. That will free up everything
