She just woke up.......give her bout 8 to 10 mins then let that choke warm up and she will be just fine....i love carburated Ford V8 motors......got a 1987 /460 myself ....which is my pride and joy ...just put true duals on it Flow Monster mufflers... yesterday in my drive and did a damn good job if i do say so.

Dude you really need to idle that carb down your gonna drain a lot more gas that way. You have to be at least 2500 rpms
Thats a cold engine who cares if the idle is up a little its supposed to be when cold
Daily Driven Diesels also it’s more like 1100 rpms. I had a 79 lincoln true dual flow master 40’s so I know what a cold idle sounds like lol
probably has the high idle on, and it's probably more like 1800 rpms
yeah it was a cold start, that was on the highest step of the fast idle cam, and the factory spec on the highest step is only 1250
