And ultimately it was all paid for by tax payers. The bankers did not go to jail or lose jobs-- they got fat bonus money. Even in the crash. What kind of work have you gone to after this? I mean, I guess I'm assuming you don't do it any more.
rj doggman sort of. False appraisals definitely had their place, but it was a real estate bubble. ALL real estate was going up in price in a dangerous manner.
Warren Yes and no. What Matt Cox was doing was definitely a contributor to making it harder to get a loan. But keep in mind that the bank’s gotta make money at the end of the day. Houses are worth something, but they’re not worth enough to be worth a potential default and foreclosure. Especially when the bank stands to lose money in the end. Classic example: Lehman Brothers. Lots of assets, bad valuations, small market drop caused them to collapse.

Well that explains it all! He really didn't have a choice...Criminal or starve...:)
This guy is a very intriguing speaker. Had my full attention for two hours
I mean, he IS a con man that's what they do.
I'm scrolling thru RUclips while I was on the phone with a vendor at work. This pops up. Title was interesting. I press play. I'm instantly hooked. I put on my ear buds and listen to this for the last hour of work. Listen to it on my drive home thru the blue tooth. Stopped at the grocery store and listened to it while shopping. Continued listening while cooking dinner. Watched it while eating dinner. Now it's after dinner and I'm still watching this.
You guys got to enjoy this a year ago. I'm enjoying this episode today 😀
He's had a lot of practice acting
The fact that he had a degree in fine arts and was making a decent living for himself should have been the first red flag 😂
"I'm not an escape artist" secret reminder that hes got a degree in fine arts
So this is what a career looks like with a degree in fine arts... interesting
A prosperous one, anyway
You deserve more likes.
People always say Fine Arts does nothing ~ I guess that’s for those who lack motivation.
I kept forgetting what degree he had but he would remind me like clockwork
Fuck college
FreeStuffPlease ~ I was thinking about the comment “I had a levels arts degree...” He HAD to be joking. Liberal arts is virtually useless and as smart as he is he HAS to know that.
Unbelievable story. I crushed the entire podcast front to back and it's 3am.
👊🏼
Nice.
@@InsideTrueCrime YOU DA MAN !
I don’t feel bad that he ripped off a bunch of banks
@Kill Cox Thieve who gives a fuck you dip shit. stop defending the big banks bitch!
@Free Souls he took out a loan on your house, literally?
Cat Stevens not one bit
Cat Stevens 😂😂😭😂
@@msf_recursion You realize the local banks he took from is just regular people's money that the banks loan out right lmfao. He's not defending the bank itself as a corporation, he's defending the people who got fucking robbed because they used a particular branch lol. Banks are just employees handling other people's money they don't have endless piles of cash they just throw around and fuck regular people over with. You are obviously very uneducated if you cannot differentiate banking services that can fuck people over like high frequency trading or pension funds and the services at the local level which give out mortgages or handle people's checking and savings accounts.
"Mr. Green" "mr.red" "mr.black" "mr blue" This guy didn't give AF 😂😂

The best use of a fine arts degree I’ve ever seen...
only way to make decent money with an arts degree 🤪
😂 I was coming here to suggest a shot every time he mentions his fine arts degree. 🤣🤣🤣
This is the best podcast I've ever listened to, what an engaging storyteller and an incredible story. Absolutely insane.
It plays out like a nightmare.
“She had all the money”-the absolute dumbest thing this guy ever did
Him being with her was the dumb part. Leaving the money with her probably kept her from going critical mass and turning him in
Metal Maniac1972 that and involving her in the first place
Great point
women were his weak point.
@@relaxinwithjaxin911 Aren't they always?
Fascinating, but women were his weakness and led to his eventual downfall.
His weakness was the love of 💰
Keep your eyes on your money , dont trust no bitch
Jim Riopelle He’s a compulsive sociopath narcissist. There is no empathy and emotion with other humans or themselves. The women were there to manipulate and use with nothing attached.
@@Thehighwaymurderers A guy that is a sociopath or a psychopath can still think women look, smell, taste good, and become obsessed with that to the point where it interferes with their ability to make sensible decisions. Psychopaths might have different understandings of emotions, and the ability to turn off their empathy, which again they have their own type of understanding, but still. They're human, not demons or some type of robotic, souless machine ran by computer program.
As a former California mortgage broker myself this is hilarious to listen to. Lol
As a former L.O. I can confirm.

I like the koncrete episode but this guy needs to go on Rogan let people see more of him he's amazing

They need to make a movie after this guy, kind of like wolf of wall street. This podcast alone has enough material for a really good movie.
Hes just good at telling stories....itd be a pretty boring movie :P
This dude forged or "created" his fine arts degree.
Keep in mind...
@@bobbywright6062 😂
You may be wondering how one man can pull of some of these spectacular cons, but it's simple really.
He had a degree in fine arts.
A degree in fine arts and a PhD in counterfeiting 👍
A masters in Hustlers University
It's obvious that he messed up with that chick Becky, but from a narcissistic point of view he had to have someone out there that knew the entire truth to feel the maximum thrill of what he'd created in my opinion. Mabye he should've checked her medicine cabinet before they got serious though
Exactly, he needed someone to feed off of intimately
started watching and got sucked in for 2 hours straight. Intriguing story told to perfection. Best podcast if listed to in a long time and i listen to a ton.
Electronic Fraud Department: Hey let's look at all these Fine Art's Majors cross reference them with bank loans.

This has got to be the 6th or 7th time I have watched/listened to this and I believe I will watch/listen another 20 times
So fascinating. Never gets old. I love it
Damn that was a great 2hrs I was picturing everything in my head as he was telling his amazing story....
I went to prison for mortgage fraud too...Its funny because 90% of the stuff he's talking about I did...Burner phones was a great thing I got 20 year olds a $250k mortgage and they didn't even have a job..Back then a 550 credit score you can get a house with 0 down and some people walked away from closing with $10k to $15k cash back...It was like Every house I bought had a money tree in the back yard.....
And ultimately it was all paid for by tax payers. The bankers did not go to jail or lose jobs-- they got fat bonus money. Even in the crash. What kind of work have you gone to after this? I mean, I guess I'm assuming you don't do it any more.
What is your email address?
Let’s just pretend anything you just said was true
First six minutes explains why the housing market crashed lol so crazy how casual these brokers were just to make money
Fred Robinson nothing like this guy did is possible in todays date huh ?
Yes, and it wasn't only him doing it. This is why its way harder to get a house today... Because of shit this guy was doing.
rj doggman sort of.
He is NOT lying about how he rented his 1st place in Nashville!! I moved there in 2000, no friends/references, but I had the money, & lady was like, "You seem like a smart, nice guy. And, you're a vet. Here's the keys." NO LIE.
