beautiful brother, as always thank you, youve made a lotta vids that have helped me thru the years as i periodically come back to your channel for advice :)
Nice! Loved the first tip actually since I often forget that you can simply slow down the framerate using retime and it will have great impact on the perception of smooth video. Nicely done Serge... as always!
@@WarriorsPhoto my favourite recently was how to attach objects to walls. I thought it was exceptional, Serge explained it in such a way it was easy to follow. Another tool to make content stand out even further.
Hi Serge, just wanted to know that in my FCPX stabilisation, I get the 'Auto' mode and other options from the drop down menu. However, I cannot find the 'Tripod' mode. Would be grateful if you can help as I am working on a video. Thank you!
Hello, Serge! Thanks for the video. So, I watched this and stabilized a one take video. I just ended the color grading process and when I was about to export, I cropped (sliced, bladed, make shorter) the last part of the video. When I did that it appeared "Analyzing for dominant motion" and it automatically zooms out the whole image (I am almost sure it has something to do with stabilization). But I wanted this to be exactly as it was without the zooming out. Is there a way to do this without Final Cut Pro automatically modifying the image. I don't know if manually zooming in or exporting (which format?) and then cropping that exported video will work, but I am afraid it will loose quality. Thank you! (Hope i made myself clear.
Rad, never knew about the stabilization part of the video tab. I shoot with a gimbal so it doesn't have to crop much but definitely helps. Glad I shoot 4K lol.
Thanks for the optical flow tips, it helps a lot (it adds a bit a blur but it's very ok :) However, does someone know why when I stabilize some clips (not all of them), using the stabilisation in fcpx, I have a weird zoom mouvement in the background of my video ? It's actually very noticeable and not nice at all
Hi, I tried the method of slow with optical flow but now when I’m coloring the clip get so slow and rendering AGAIN the optical flow, do I making something wrong or this is normal ?
Camilo Andres Rodriguez Marquez I had the same problem and this worked for me. Go to preferences> playback and turn off background render. Hope this helps!
Brilliant. Thank you. I've noticed that DJI's new Mini Pro Drone has a lot of good reviews but the one drawback they mention is that its a little shaky in windy conditions. Maybe your stabilisation suggestions would solve that shake in post-production.
As always...clear, understandable, and done without dragging things on. One of the best teachers on RUclips for video editing.
I am again brought back to the goldmine that is Serge M's channel! Thank you again!
Thanks for sharing. Easy to understand and got to the point quickly so much appreciated.
As always - great tips ! Down to the point, in clear language, no jargon, and explained in few minutes. Simple does it. Thank you !

Thank you sir!
I wonder if that will work in relationships, lol
@@Inspiration-ITV I tried. Doesn't work. For relationships you need to use the cropping tool.

Hi, i’ve just discovered thanks to you how to make slow motion from 30 frames per sec. footage which looks good !
thx

i don't see the stablization.
Great video! Can/should I use Optical Flow to smooth out even my 60p footage?
No. 60 fps footage already has the max amount of frames
