I created routines for every house chore. For example for cleaning the kitchen. Alexa tells me i have to start woth throwing away the trash on the counters within 1 minute. After a minute it automatically continues with the next task, two minutes to Load the dishwasher, 4 to sort out expired food, 3 to wipe down the counters and so on.. i had nerver thought i could clean my kitche in such a short amount of time..

In the alexa app, you click on more (bottom right), than you click on Routines and on the Plus-symbol. After that, you name it and than you can create a routine. I always use the "Alexa says.." and after that i use the timer..

I've used both Google and Alexa to create routines. Where Google is easier to use in terms of being able to understand requests regardless of how you word them and has more general knowledge, Alexa actually seems to be better and interpreting more personal needs and is more flexible. They are like the Dad who is all business and Alexa is the mom who knows your favorite song or icecream flavor. Frankly I think if Alexa and Google procreated and hired Siri to be their nanny the child would grow up to be the perfect ADHD SMART ASSISTANT!

I am LOVING your videos. I just stumbled upon you and have struggled with focus like you would NOT even believe. I'm a huge notion fan so I just bought your template. I'm sure some others can relate I have many products with Alexa - ECHO a dot for every room, some smart plugs and some other things and of course I've never set them up! This gave me tons of ideas. I have been focused on routine, routine, routine so that tasks becomes habits and use less brain power. A side effect in my life from the Covid years is I don't have a set schedule anymore and it's hard to start from scratch. So LOVE the videos. Oh... and I'm about to move back home closer to my grandkids and they know so many things Alexa can do so I need to catch up with a 3 year old and 1 year old! Again, loving the content.
